The Space
Villa Bella Julia is a stunning private villa designed for a romantic escape for two or a family gathering of up to ten guests. It offers four ensuite bedrooms and two sofa beds, accommodating everyone comfortably.
The villa is situated within Lomas Del Mar, an exclusive 600-acre gated community located 20 miles (approximately a 25-minute drive) from Liberia Airport. Nearby attractions include Matapolo Beach and Diamante Eco Park, both just a 7-minute drive away. The lively beach towns of Playa del Coco and Flamingo are within a 20-minute drive.
From inside Villa Bella Julia, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, along with enchanting jungle and mountain scenery. This beautifully designed home reflects traditional Latin American architecture and celebrates the Spanish Costa Rican style. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by expansive ocean views and a serene atmosphere.
The great room serves as the heart of the villa, featuring a sleeper sofa, a regular sofa, and a dining table crafted from indigenous Guanacaste wood. The fully equipped kitchen includes a large island, custom bar stools, and stainless steel appliances, providing everything needed for meal preparation.
The villa seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. The covered outdoor dining area overlooks an infinity pool, an undisturbed mountain range, and the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Each main bedroom opens to a private outdoor space, ideal for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails while watching the sunset.
Upstairs, two primary ensuite bedrooms are located on the second floor. For guests who prefer to avoid stairs, there is a queen-sized ensuite bedroom on the first floor. Additionally, one of the living room sofas converts into a sleeper bed. A private casita next to the garage offers another option, featuring an efficiency kitchen with a refrigerator, a queen bed with an ensuite shower bathroom, a sofa sleeper, and a TV—perfect for a small family of four.
All sleeping areas include luxurious mattresses, nightstands, air conditioning units for personalized temperature control, and ceiling fans to enhance comfort. In total, the villa accommodates ten guests with four ensuite bedrooms and two sleeper sofas.
A new washer and dryer are located off the kitchen area, stocked with laundry soap and softener. The laundry room also contains beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas, toys, towels, and sun protection lotions to enhance your enjoyment.
Guest Services can arrange various experiences upon request, including excursions, poolside massage therapy, private chefs, and more. The goal is to provide a memorable space that guests will cherish and want to revisit.
Guest Access
The villa is entirely private for you and your companions. Within the Lomas Del Mar community, there is a second infinity pool called "Top of the World," accessible to all residents. This popular wedding venue offers spectacular views of the Papagayo Peninsula and Nicaragua and is a favored spot for sunsets, reachable by a short drive within the community.
Additional Information
During your stay, you may encounter routine services such as pool cleaning, gardening, and security patrols by Lomas Del Mar evening guards. Property managers are available for emergencies but will only visit the property if specifically requested through the Airbnb app.

Our stay was amazing. We were off the beaten path, which was perfect. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. Kevin was amazing. So helpful. We loved the house, Top of the World and felt completely safe with it being a gated area. I would highly recommend staying here!

Everything about the house was great - spacious, well-appointed, SUPER comfortable beds, and a luxurious pool area. We really appreciated all the beach gear and toys that were provided. Kevin, the property manager, was really helpful and responsive - he met us at the gate to show us to the house, helped us stock up on groceries, and answered all our questions. The only downside is that the location is north of a river crossing OR a long detour to get to Tamarindo and surrounding points of interest (we were there in November, the end of wet season). The road up to the house is also very bumpy. We didn’t have any issues, but it might be a challenge during very rainy season.

Great views. The top of the world pool within the community has unbelievable views at sunset. You’ll need to drive a little ways to get to many of the beaches but there are lots of options. House was comfortable and worked great for large group.

Lorsqu'on a vu l'annonce passée, ce fut un déclic général de réserver cette villa et de découvrir le Costa Rica. Notre séjour aura été mémorable, la villa offre une Vue incroyable sur l'Océan. On a profité amplement de la Terrasse, on a tous apprécié le confort, l'accessibilité de la maison. Prendre le café ou l'apéro et entendre la faune tout près de nous, WoW !!. Julie et Kevin MERCI pour l'excellent service !!

We had a great time at Julia's house and everything was flawless, from the initial communication to check-out. Julia's place is well appointed, very clean and exceptionally quiet with an awesome view. Kevin was great and checked us in and took care of us for the week and always available for any questions or recommendations. Would highly recommend a stay at Julia's for as long as you can. Thanks again and hopefully we will be back soon.

We had such a wonderful time at Julia’s place! We were blown away by the absolutely stunning view. The home itself felt welcoming and had everything we needed. The bedrooms upstairs each had their own bathroom and a balcony with gorgeous views. We came in with all sorts of excursions planned, but the pool was so perfect we ended up spending a full day lounging there. Just a heads-up: you’ll definitely need a 4x4 to get around, but the location felt nice and central for exploring once you settle in. One of our favorite little surprises was spotting some howler monkeys during our last days. Huge shout-out to Kevin, the property manager. He was fantastic—he shared great tips on local spots to visit, surprised us with coffee, tamales, and other local goodies, and when I realized I’d forgotten my Apple Watch after we left, he went out of his way to bring it to me at the airport. All in all, this place felt like paradise. Thank you, Julia, for opening up your beautiful home to us.

This place is insane! Kevin and Julia were amazing to work with, first off somehow there was an issue with our booking and they accommodated us when they could have easily cancelled the booking. Second this place was so awesome and it was on the tail end of our trip that we all seriously contemplated extending our stay because it was that good. And after being in the jungle for the majority of our trip this Airbnb was so nice that we didn’t want to leave lol Kevin was amazing to work with, I can’t say enough good things about the management. Everyone was so helpful and the house has everything and more. I highly recommend looking through the info book Julia leaves for the guests, it saved us when we needed food late at night. We’re already planning a trip to come back here next year. Thank you again Julia and Kevin!
