The villa is in an incredible location with monkeys and macaws all day, everyday. incredible views and great privacy. Very responsive with any issues and Edwin was close but never there unless called. the beach road does require a tallish 4x4 but it keeps everyone away and the property private. also, it is difficult to find at night so advise making sure you arrive the first time in daylight. it is not glamping, but it's also not the four seasons. if you want quiet, monkeys, the ocean crashing waves 24 hours a day, macaws, and the forest go and don't wait. the main house does have hot water, but the others it's cool, which felt good after a day spent catching 20 plus roosterfish. well worth the money as one of the most unique days we have ever experienced.

Don't get me wrong the property and view was beautiful. Expect to be stuck there, as several large trees blocked our ability to leave. The roads send tourists through rivers, creeks, dangerous bridges, & on extreme 4x4 conditions. We missed our excursions due to downed trees blocking the road. There was no wildlife with the exception of the infestation of 1000s of wall climbing crabs every night. Also, the caretakers on the property were intrusive and would enter the main house without asking permission to empty trash. Moreover, we paid for the caretakers wife to prepare us a meal upon our arrival ($27/person). The meal was underwhelming & at the end, while we were chatting, she & her nephew took all of the food remaining on the platters and took them home to their house, which is on the property. Considering we were ultimately trapped at the house by a fallen tree, those leftovers would have come in handy. caretakers were nice, but they did not speak English & made communication tough

Best location in Matapalo, with access to both Backwash and Matapalo beaches! Beautiful house, comfortable for large families or groups!

Casa Natura was amazing. The views from the lookouts were amazing and the house was awesome. WiFi worked very well for the most part, but definitely slowed down when multiple guests were using it. As a remote worker the WiFi worked well enough to work from the main house. The caretaker and his family were amazing, they cooked dinner for our group of 9 one night and it was incredible. With three beaches fairly close to the house and two waterfall hikes this location is amazing and Casa Natura is the perfect place for a large group.

The location was incredible. So much wildlife. Epic snorkeling right out front. You can walk to waterfalls, or the world class beaches on either side. The property is huge and amazing. Playground was great for the kids.

Highlights: wildlife at your doorstep, ocean vista all day, sounds of nature at all times. Our family of 11 (ages 18-77) stayed for several days in June. Plenty of space for all of us to hang out together or go our separate ways inside and out. All of the beds were comfortable and clean; either covered by mosquito nets or were in rooms with screens on the windows. We loved lounging in the hammocks around the property, including indoors. The kitchens are well supplied with cooking implements, but you'll need to provide all of your own ingredients. We hired Edwin and Andrea, the caretakers, to cook dinner for us twice. Both meals were scrumptious! They satisfied our vegetarians and our omnivores. We loved watching the monkeys, birds, agoutis, coatis, and more from the house and grounds. Especially the nest with baby birds in the living room!! So special. Caution: We enjoyed the narrow, winding stairs to the upstairs, but they may not be ok if you have limited mobility.

La casa es todo lo que se necesita para una aventura en la jungla. La propiedad es INCREÍBLE. Fuimos un grupo grande , que vinimos a surfear, por ende la ubicación es inmejorable, chequeas las olas desde el jardín. Un sueño. Edwin estuvo siempre atento a todas nuestras necesidades. Y el host fue de lo más amable, sacándonos todas las dudas previas y siendo muy generoso. No puedo recomendar mas este alojamiento!

location is great but my main issue is that this house has nothing to do with a "luxury" house as advertised, it a rustic, so the presentation is misleading.

This place is amazing!, clean, comfy, and open to the elements. Think: beach, jungle Glamping adventure. It is totally secluded; you can watch the sunrise over the ocean from the top floor. The weather is hot, humid, and buggy during the rainy season. All beds have mosquito nets. You'll see birds, monkeys, and other wildlife around the house. The showers have low pressure. We stocked up on groceries from the nearest town, Puerto Jimenez, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The caretaker, Edwin, was very helpful and kind. He helped us hire a guide/driver to Corcovado National Park. The are two beaches within walking distance, and we took a surf lesson from Pollo Surf School at Backwash Beach (walkable). Very fun!, encouraging instructors. There are 2 waterfalls nearby which are hikeable, Edwin gave us instructions. There are 2 restaurants nearby, also walkable. Every place we went took US dollars.
