Overview
Casa Drop In is situated in a secluded and tranquil area north of Santa Teresa, nestled within a private valley. The beach, restaurants, and supermarket are all within a convenient 5-minute walking distance. This home provides ample space to relax, whether on the terrace or by the pool, making it an ideal spot to unwind and disconnect.
For guests who need to work remotely, the house offers a 100 Mbps fiber-optic internet connection. Please note that the property is not suitable for parties, and all visitors are asked to respect the peaceful surroundings. A 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property.
The Space
Villa Drop In is located on a private estate in Santa Teresa Nord, positioned on a dead-end road about 200 meters uphill. It offers a quiet and private setting, removed from the noise of the village and main road. Despite its seclusion, the beach, nearby restaurants, and the supermarket Super la Hacienda are reachable within a 5 to 10-minute walk.
On the first floor, you will find a spacious, fully equipped kitchen ideal for preparing meals. The living room features two comfortable sofas for relaxation. Meals can be enjoyed on the large covered terrace, which also includes a hanging bed, a hammock, and two rocking chairs for lounging.
A refreshing daily breeze flows through the valley from the sea, keeping the house cool even during summer. Guests can also take a dip in the large saltwater pool to cool off.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
- On the first floor, there are two roomy bedrooms, each designed for two guests. Each room includes a queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a shower.
- The second floor features a bedroom with breathtaking views of the rainforest and ocean. This room accommodates up to three guests with a king-size or double bed and has its own bathroom.
All bedrooms, as well as the living room and kitchen, are equipped with air conditioning.
Cleaning and Supplies
The property is cleaned daily by the housekeeping team, except on Sundays and Costa Rican holidays. Guests are responsible for cleaning the kitchen and washing dishes.
The kitchen is stocked with coffee and sugar for the first cup, but for hygiene reasons, basic cooking ingredients such as salt, pepper, and oil are not provided.
Shampoo, shower gel, and towels are supplied, with towels changed every two to three days. Please note that bathroom towels are not intended for beach use, so guests should bring their own beach towels.

Guest Access and Services
Guests have free access to the yoga shala on the property. The property manager, who lives at the entrance with the house dog, will welcome guests and handle check-in. He is available on-site or via WhatsApp for any questions.
The manager can assist with organizing yoga classes, massages, surf lessons, ATV rentals, and other activities.
Laundry service is available upon request; however, the property cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged clothing. Laundry turnaround typically takes one to two days depending on workload.

- Pets are welcome; however, guests must clean up after their dogs. Failure to do so will result in a $50 cleaning fee.

We spent 14 wonderful days at this beautiful property with our family of five and had an amazing experience. The house is set on a secluded plot surrounded by Costa Rica’s stunning landscape and wildlife, offering peace, privacy, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. It’s also just a short walk from the beach. The property was spotless, comfortable, and had a wonderful energy that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our favourite aspects of the property was the outdoor space. Our children absolutely loved spending time in the pool every day, while we were relaxing on the floating bed (a truly brilliant idea from Mike), practicing yoga in the shala, or exploring the surrounding jungle trails. Mike and Nicole were fantastic hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Mike shared great recommendations for local restaurants, shops, activities, and places to visit, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We made wonderful family memories here. Highly recommended!

Location was great especially for surf. The house was relaxing, peaceful and private. While we loved walking to the beach and exploring town, staying “home” was just as enjoyable and didn’t feel like we were wasting a day. Great views and tastefully decorated you cannot go wrong. Ten stars if I could.

This is our third time staying at one of Markus' properties in Santa Teresa and it did not disappoint! Markus' homes are all truly unique and situated behind a secure gate. There are four properties, all unique and private. We stayed previously at El Camino, which we love, but this time stayed at the top of the road at Casa Drop In and it was amazing! We loved the gorgeous huge pool with ocean views, the outdoor hanging bed for lounging, and the spacious interior. You cannot go wrong with any of Markus' properties on this road- they are all thoughtfully designed and in the best location on the northern end of the main road which is more peaceful but has some of the best dining options in my opinion.

We loved our stay! The place was awesome The bedrooms are comfortable. We loved hanging out in the outdoor space which was beautiful and cozy. We had a beautiful view off the front porch which included the surrounding trees and a small piece of the ocean. Getting up the driveway to the house requires a 4x4 if you intend to drive to the house. Most days we walked to the beach from the house with our 8, 7, and 4 year old which was easy enough. We would definitely recommend Mikes place!

Casa Drop In was great all the way around. I picked the house for my family which included a 3 yr old , a 6 yr old and 4 adults. Below are a list of reasons why you should rent this place if it is available. 1. Location- Close to Santa Teresa (but not too close)- The house is close to town but far enough away for it to be quiet and peaceful. The home is located up a hill off the main road and feels very safe, beautiful, and private. There are several great restaurants and a small super market within walking distance. 2. Surf- there is a beach access that is a 5 minute walk from the house that allows you to get to Santa Teresa Norte. 3. House- it is beautiful and honestly looked better in person than the pictures. 4. Pool- kids loved it and it was well maintained. 5. Clean- a lady came to clean the house everyday we were there. 6. Hosts- Tamara, Mike, and Freia were super responsive and friendly. If you are coming to Santa Teresa to surf with your family book this place.

I stayed at Mike’s with my family of four (kiddos 3 & 6) and my friend’s family of 3 (kiddo 5), and we had an amazing time! The rooms were super comfortable, the outdoor area was incredible, and the property managers were a stones throw from the house and easy to access if needed. We watched monkey parades from the yoga shala almost every day, saw some beautiful birds, and were a five minute walk to the beach. Someone cleans the house EVERY DAY, which I realize now the listing might say but I didn’t know that going in - and it was such a wonderful surprise while being on vacation. The drop-in house is better in person than the photos even convey. We swam in the pool throughout the day, practiced yoga in the delightful shala, cooked almost all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen, and slept so soundly. It was perfection. *one thing, if you’re sensitive to light, bring an eye mask because the upstairs room gets a ton of morning light at 5am*

This Airbnb was amazing! We had the most amazing stay and it by far exceeded our expectations from the pictures we saw beforehand. The house manager and staff were very friendly, professional, accommodating, and organized. And overall, the location was just gorgeous. Large hill to get there but great beach access and proximity to the local grocery store. Couldn’t have asked for better.
