Overview
Villa Concha is a luxurious beachfront estate located on Playa Langosta, Tamarindo. This expansive property features 9 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, bordered by a quiet park that offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. It is conveniently situated just a 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from Tamarindo, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquility of Playa Langosta while remaining close to restaurants, bars, and vibrant nightlife.
An additional 1-bedroom luxury casita with a full kitchen is available for rent at an extra cost, expanding the total accommodation to 10 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms. Taxes are included in the rental rate.
The Space
All bedrooms come with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and comfortable beds with quality linens. Villa Concha’s main living area boasts an open floor plan furnished with upscale pieces, a gourmet kitchen, and a dining area that seats up to 22 guests across indoor and outdoor tables.
The design encourages seamless indoor-outdoor living with large accordion doors that fill the space with natural light and open onto decks and patios overlooking the private pool and ocean. Multiple outdoor areas are available for lounging, yoga, or massage services.
The villa features tropical design elements that enhance the enjoyment of its private outdoor spaces, beachfront location, and year-round sunsets. Many bedrooms include private outdoor showers and garden areas. Air conditioning is present throughout all bedrooms and interior living spaces.
Villa Concha includes a large saltwater pool and several outdoor dining and lounging spaces designed to accommodate large groups. The 10,000-square-foot home can host up to 22 guests when all 10 bedrooms are rented, making it one of the largest vacation rental homes in Tamarindo. The standard rental includes 9 bedrooms, accommodating up to 20 guests.
This estate is ideal for large gatherings such as family vacations, wedding parties, yoga retreats, or corporate getaways, offering ample space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Its spacious outdoor areas and beachfront setting also make it well-suited for hosting wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other events.
Interior Features
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious great room with sweeping accordion doors that open to the outdoors. The gourmet kitchen, adorned with Spanish tiles and granite countertops, includes a separate bar equipped with an ice maker and wine cooler.
Throughout the villa and its patios, you will find carefully selected indigenous and exotic wood pieces, artifacts, paintings, and décor collected by the owners from around the world. Several handcrafted items originate from Costa Rica and Indonesia, including:
- A 12-foot Guanacaste dining table
- A hand-crafted Indonesian teak dining table
- A Cenizaro-wood coffee table
- Custom-designed Cenizaro-wood canopy and Ron Ron beds
Outdoor furnishings include a hand-carved Indonesian seating bench, an Indonesian teak daybed, and teak lounging chairs.
Outdoor Amenities
The property features a large saltwater pool surrounded by ample dining and seating areas, an outdoor fire pit, and a Rancho with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue grill adjacent to the pool.
Guests can relax poolside while observing local wildlife such as howler monkeys, resident iguanas, colorful birds, parrots, and butterflies. The villa offers WiFi access, and guests can choose to unwind at the pool with whirlpool jets or stroll to the beach to enjoy the warm sand and stunning sunsets.
Services and Concierge
Villa Concha provides maid service included in the rental. Additional services available through the concierge include:
- Chef-prepared meals
- Transportation arrangements
- Adventure tours such as zip-lining, white water rafting, ATV tours, horseback riding, fishing, and surfing
- Pre-stocked fridge upon arrival
- On-site massages at the villa or on the beach

Accommodation Details
The main house contains 7 bedrooms, while three separate casitas, each with 1 bedroom, are located near the pool. The typical rental includes 9 bedrooms—the main house and two casitas—with the third casita usually reserved for a caretaker. For larger groups, the upscale third casita with a full kitchen can be added for an extra charge.
Only one group rents the property at a time, ensuring privacy and comfort. Smaller groups are welcome, with a 5% discount offered for parties of six or fewer.

Additional Information
- Children are welcome
- No smoking or pets allowed on the property
- Maid service is included, with cleaning every 2-3 days during the stay
- Daily cleaning can be arranged for an additional fee
- A refundable security deposit of $1,500 applies to all stays
- A cleaning fee of $500 per stay is required
Guest Access
The entire property is rented exclusively to one group at a time, providing private access to all outdoor living spaces, including the large saltwater pool.
Events and Policies
Villa Concha can accommodate events such as wedding receptions and other functions with a maximum of 75 guests. Event rentals require signing a contract and event policy.
- A venue fee applies for events exceeding the standard maximum occupancy of 22 guests
- The refundable security deposit increases to $2,500 for events
- Chef services for events can be arranged upon request
- All event activities must conclude by 11:00 PM in compliance with Costa Rican law for the Langosta Beach area
Reservations require a signed contract and a 50% deposit.

This was a beautiful property and our group of 22 had a wonderful time. The bedrooms are spacious and every room has their own bathroom. Compared to the pictures/description, in-person the home felt like a slightly older luxury property that could use some minor repairs but for the price, it was perfect. We didn’t realize before booking (although not a deal breaker) that there’s a public trail to the beach that runs directly behind the pool area (a security guard does patrol this path at night) but during the day, a lot of people walked by when we were outside. The property manager and maintenance people also dropped by a few times during our stay. Sharon (host) and Dauly (property manager) were very helpful/responsive and went out of their way to make our stay seamless. Originally, we did work with Prashant (co-host) to set up add ons and activities, but we ended up booking on our own because we found that to be significantly cheaper/easier to do ourselves. Would def stay here again.

Sharon’s place was the perfect spot for our retreat! The home is built for a large group and was well equipped. The backyard was fantastic with the pool overlooking the beach and a few different places to congregate. The location is ideal, quiet and peaceful but walkable to the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. Dauly the house manager was awesome and helpful. He should be the one doing all the communication with guests from the start. I would suggest booking all transfers (Costa Rica Ground Transfers), golf carts (Pacific Coast Golf Carts), and chef (Belly Fedbetter) on your own. Also ask the transfer to stop at a grocery store before getting into town as it’s much cheaper. Overall a great stay!

Villa Concha was an amazing base for our group of 8 in Tamarindo. The house is amazing with privacy yet still close to the action. We recommend getting a golf cart so you can easily get into town and back. All bedrooms were great, each with their own bathroom. Our hosts responded quickly to every request along the way.

This place is amazing! There was 21 of us ( 5 small kids) and we had plenty of space. The house is very well furnished... comfortable beds and linens, beautiful furniture. The sunsets were gorgeous! We got to watch the family of monkeys in the back for about an hour. Prashant, Dauly, Paola and Alexandra were extremely helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Our family loved staying in this villa and would do so again without hesitation.

We had a large group of 13 people and had more then enough room. Everything was clean and kitchen had all the dishes and utensils we needed. Could have used some more dish towels and a dish rack as we had some issues with the dishwasher. The grounds were beautiful, lots of monkeys and iguanas. Prashant and Dauly were very helpful, attentive and accommodating. Beach was close by but not really usable for swimming. Which didn’t matter because we were so close to town beach and shopping and restaurants. We had a great time and the house was beautiful. Thank you Dauly for being so awesome!

This villa is paradise! We booked for our family during our wedding and it was perfect. Each room is special and everyone has the perfect amount of privacy, while also able to enjoy the common areas. Being right on the beach is a dream! There are a couple good restaurants nearby, and more about a 20 min walk into town. The house manager Dauly is very responsive and quick to help out at any time. Loves every minute here!
