I had an excellent experience staying at this Airbnb and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place. The location was truly ideal, providing convenient access to nearby attractions, dining options, and transportation, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The property itself was beautiful! The space was both inviting and functional, with a layout that made it easy to relax and feel at home. The amenities were another highlight of the stay. We spend 3 nights over Christmas. We felt right at home! The communication was fast and really easy. The host advised not to use too much water and electricity but the walls are too thin that you couldn’t stay without ac. And what was really sad is that the water in the bathroom upstairs. The water pressure was consistently very low, and even after letting it run for a long time as advised, it only became warm for a short time. We washed our hair in the kitchen sink. Furthermore, there was no way to plug the sink, so we always had to wash up under running water, which meant there was no way to save water. There is no longer any direct construction work going on, but there was always someone sawing or drilling something nearby. The pool was a very big plus and the really short way to the beach as well. For Christmas it was perfect but for the money we spend, we would have expected more.

We had an amazing time at Altamar! The villa was better in person than the pictures. The pool was a major plus for us and was a refreshing way to cool off from the heat. It was conveniently located close enough to walk to the beach but still secluded enough away from the hustle and bustle of tamarindo. Would recommend this stay to anyone and would love to come back again.

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia en “Altamar”. La casa es muy cómoda y linda. Aprovechamos tanto las áreas de afuera como las de adentro. La piscina fue perfecta para refrescarnos del calor. La casa está equipada con lo que se necesitamos para estos días de vacaciones. La playa está a poca distancia caminando y es muy linda. Los atardeceres en la playa Langosta son espectaculares. Claire fue muy atenta y estuvo pendiente en todo momento. Nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones para hacer los días que estuvimos allí. Los ruidos de la obra que están realizando cerca, desde adentro de la casa No se escuchan. Solo si estás usando las áreas externas se escuchan y para nosotros no fue nada molesto. Hay muchos restaurantes y tiendas cerca. Vale la pena caminar esas calles. Nos sentimos como en casa. Definitivamente volveremos pronto. ¡Gracias por todo!

Absolutely fabulous stay! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was super easy. they were incredibly responsive and helpful. The location couldn’t have been better. just minutes from great brunch spots, the beach, and amazing restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful property but the very loud construction next door meant we couldn’t spend any time in the backyard during the week days. I also wish the host were more hospitable. We had a hard time figuring out how to find the place, didn’t know how to use the washer (apparently water has to be set on cold), there wasn’t even salt available, no shampoo or shower gel, no “so sorry - do you need anything” when I told her the roof was leaking in the bedroom during heavy rain etc etc. She was very responsive when asked but Airbnb hospitality = being attentive and mindful of the guests. With more focus on service and when construction finally ends, it will be a perfect place to stay.

Pros: The manager of the condos was very proactive, responsive and helpful. The location is very close and accessible to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The in unit laundry is major blessing. Very convenient parking. Having a small pool is very nice to cool off. Cons: There is major construction going on right next the property that starts at 7 am every weekday, this should have been disclosed. There is another rental property next door that throws loud late night parties until around 2 am. There is almost no water pressure in the shower. There isn't much privacy from the other units and neighboring properties, There are several annoying construction problems; like unable to close doors, no exhaust fans in the bathroom, hard to lock sliding door, cabinet doors and drawers are askew, etc.
