## The Space

Our newly renovated bungalow in Playa Hermosa offers breathtaking views from every window. Wake up to surfers riding the morning waves or catch a glimpse of whales breaching offshore. The bungalow has just undergone a complete renovation. We visited monthly during the process, bringing select items from the United States to create a unique and special retreat. Everything inside is brand new except for the exceptional wood floors. Enjoy stunning ocean views with the mountainous jungle as a backdrop.

Additional updates include a brand-new kitchen, air conditioning units, modern light fixtures and fans, new windows, bathrooms, an outdoor shower, covered parking, a screened porch with a hammock, Wi-Fi, private laundry, a water filtration system, linens, and all the comforts of home. Great place to stay. Ocean front view and steps away from the beach. I will recommend it to anyone.

We were a group of five (three adults and two older teens) visiting beautiful Hermosa for almost a full week. The location is awesome and house had everything we needed - walk just across the street to surfing or otherwise enjoying the ocean and beach. Host was very responsive to any questions. Morning walks full of birding fun.  Restaurant within walking or just a short drive. Thank you Scott for sharing your house. Pura Vida!

If you're looking for a place with unobstructed views of the beach and only 30 steps to get there, this is the place. Great screened in porch and deck areas. Overall, a very good experience. One thing to note, the loft area does not have a lot of air circulation and the AC doesn't reach it, but it stays cool enough at night. Chances are you'll be out during the day, so it's not a big deal. We would stay here again!

Book it!  Ideal location with amazing ocean views, the constant sound of waves crashing, and a stone's throw to the beach.   The house exceeded all of our expectations and was perfect for our familiy of five.  The pictures just don't do it justice.  Do yourself and your family a favor, book it!

Fantastic bungalow in a stunning location on Playa Hermosa. Very well equipped. Excellent AC. Good pool. Fun retractable staircase up to 3rd bedroom. Our family surfed at Jacó with slightly smaller waves and rented boards on the beach there. Couple of good sodas/ restaurants in Hermosa a few minutes drive away. A car is pretty vital here. Good supermarkets within 10 min drive at Jaco. Very helpful and friendly caretakers on site. A wonderful spot right on the beach

Scott’s place was perfect for my girlfriends and I. We wanted a place where we could relax and just chill, and we did just that. Walked to the beach every morning. Restaurants close by. Plenty of space to spread out. He was super responsive and so nice. Highly recommend. Hope to return soon.

If you’re coming for a private get away, this was perfect. Easy to grab groceries from the market and never leave. But also just as easy to drive 10 mins to Jaco for food and shopping. Great tour suggestions as well! A bit far from the airport so definetly suggest renting a car.

Great spot for R&R or a surf trip with the family.  Scott was a great host as was Hugo who helped secure us a travel crib for our 1 year old.  Location cannot be beat.

Beautiful place in front of the sea . Inviting pool. Patio where we shared our meals with a mind-blowing decor. We felt safe with a night caretaker!!! There was nothing missing, everything was there!!!

Really beautiful stay. It was plenty for two adults and four tween/teens. There were plenty of dishes, towels and cozy beds. We would definitely rent again or recommend it to friends.

The house is as shown in the photos, the location close and accessible from the main road, direct ocean view. The house is super well equipped, complete and very cozy . If you enjoy surfing it is right in front of the good waves. Location is close to restaurants and within minutes by car from Jaco where there is more variety of restaurants and venues

Scott's place was the perfect location for a quiet beach vacation.  The home was recently renovated and the fixtures and finishes were lovely.  My son and his friend had a great time surfing.  We spent many happy hours on the screened front porch, watching the sunset over the Pacific.  Highly recommend for your Costa Rican getaway!

A gem among gems. There's no shortage of amazing places to stay in Costa Rica and our family has stayed in more than a few. This home, property, and location are a real trifecta of everything one could want for a long or short visit to this part of the country. Really aren't words to describe the vibe perfectly, it's a mix of peace, convenience, and beauty that few homes (in any country) could claim to offer. Grateful for our stay.

This house couldn't be in a better location to access the beach! The views are stunning. The living area and kitchen are beautiful and well equipped. The only thing that was a little tricky was sleeping in the loft area.. I can see this place being a perfect fit for a group of 4, but it was pretty tight for 5 adults when someone had to sleep in the loft where there wasn't any privacy. Otherwise we had a great stay.

Scott’s house was better than advertised! My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights and loved it. It was exactly what we were looking for to end our Costa Rican honeymoon. It was quiet, relaxing, the beach right there and it was not busy at all. Every morning we made coffee and walked to the beach or sat on the patio to watch some surfers in pursuit of the perfect wave. At night, after dinner, we’d come back at sit in the enclosed patio and watch the lightning storm over the ocean while sipping cocktails. The town is right down the street with a handful of good restaurants. Manuel Antonio park is pretty close (45 mins to an hour away) and you drive through some cool towns.  Scott also gave us recommendations on plenty of other activities and attractions around the area as well. And although there was just two of us in the house, I could see how it could easily fit a family comfortably with the second bedroom and loft area. All in all we had a great experience and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in that general area.

Stay here. 100% do not question it, stay here. The beach is LITERALLY across the street. You fall asleep to, wake up, and all day hear the sounds of waves crashing. If that isn't a dream come true, I don't know what is. The house is a cute, beach house. Very well equipped, stocked, and beautiful amenities. They did not spare on quality at all. Each room has it's own mini-split air conditioner, the kitchen has every thing you could possibly need, and the layout is perfect. We stayed with our two small children. A 1 year old and a 5 year old. The upstairs loft was a little too high for them, but still a cool component. The place was quiet, safe, and really perfect for our family. Jaco is a beautiful 5 minute drive away, and Manuel Antionio is about 1 hour away. Communication was perfect, quick, and easy. I would recommend this stay to everyone!

Love this bungalow! Perfect for my family that was traveling for spring break. We loved the ocean views & sunsets. Felt safe and comfortable in the community. The community pool was great after a long day at the beach. My 8 year old daughter loved staying in the loft area. We will be back!

Our family stayed here on our first ever trip to Costa Rica and we loved it.  The location was ideal – quiet, just steps from an uncrowded beach, and a short drive to Jaco where we found good restaurants and services.  The on-site manager was friendly and accommodating with good recommendations and answers to all our questions.  The bungalow was everything the listing said it is, with a well equipped kitchen, modern appliances and comfortable beds for all.  We highly recommend!

The place has great location, it is super clean, just remodeled so most things look like new, they have put lots of detail on the house: great linens and towels and lots of them so in 5 days we didn't have to wash anything.  Kitchen has all utensils to cook the fresh fish you find in the area.  The communication, check in and check out were super easy.   In general a very pleasant stay.

This place is great; so light and airy and tastefully decorated and stylishly well appointed with all the creature comforts. Having coffee on the front porch with the ocean just steps away, a light breeze, watching surfers on giant waves of Jaco was such a relaxing way to wake up.  Scott gave us tips on all the best places to visit both local and for side trips inland. We enjoyed the fresh markets and chatting with friendly welcoming locals. We will definitely book this place again!

We loved our stay.  This place is amazing and is actually  more beautiful than the pictures.  You can see the ocean from every room.  We have stayed at the Hermosa Bungalows before because we love the location, but this bungalow is outstanding!  We were the first guests after a complete renovation and no detail was missed from the new sun deck, screened in porch, beautiful master bedroom and bath, great kitchen, comfy beds and linens.  We will come back!  Highly recommend this house.
