Our family of 6 (adults and kids) really enjoyed our time here. We loved the rooftop area, and the pool is much bigger in person! It was incredibly quiet, and we loved playing board games in the outdoor space. The condo is so close to restaurants and shopping, that we were able to walk everywhere. The staff at the front desk are very accommodating. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. We never felt like we were on top of each other. The decor is very chic, and welcoming at the same time. The hotel bar/pool area is a big bonus! The water jug for drinking was very much appreciated. We had everything that we needed and then some! The only thing I would suggest, is possibly more bath towels. There were only six towels, and with four girls, we didn’t have enough. That being said, the property manager was more than willing to drop off more towels, and was very responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay here again! The hosts were happy to answer any questions!

The location was great. Right next to the beach, and less than a 5 minute walk to great restaurants. Renzo, the property manager on site was so responsive, which we appreciated. The place was clean and mostly as expected. We also had plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 young kids; it was designed very well for multiple families. In terms of things I would suggest improving: While Renzo was very quick to respond, I felt like we had to reach out to him a lot for things like water, paper towels, towels, toilet paper, etc. Those are all provided, but for example, we had one towel per person for four days. People will use more than that, typically, and while we received more, we were always wishing extras were available so we didn’t have to bother him to ask for additional things. The bunk beds are likely appropriate for older/bigger kids but when we got there, I did not think they were the safest option for our 3 and 5 year old. There were some plumbing issues that Renzo addressed.

This place does look like the pictures; it's a very beautiful penthouse. There was plenty of space for my family of 5, 2 adults & 3 teens. We are a very active family, so we didn't spend much time inside except for the two days when it rained. Renzo, the property manager, was amazing & very responsive. We never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response. He went above & beyond to provide us with information. The Concierge never responded to us and if they did it was a day or two later. Cons for us, there isn't an oven or a grill on the roof top to cook, there is only a 4 burner cook top. No bowls bigger than a cereal bowl. It would be helpful to have a house manual, excursions, restaurants, grocery stores etc. The hot water runs out fast; you have to wait about 20 minutes in between each person to shower. The biggest con was the public beach, we didn’t realize how crowded it was & you have to pay ALOT for a very small portion of “beach club” access.

Family of 6 adults stayed for 3 days and we all felt comfortable during our stay. The space was clean with cute decor. We enjoyed the private rooftop pool/patio area. It was easier for us to just relax by the pool, buy our own food/drinks vs. going to a beach club. Location is walkable to 5th ave, close to beach access (mamita's beach club) and there's a 7/11 and oxxo convenience store on the same block. Communication is directed to a property manager through Whats app. A small con is that you have to wear plastic bracelets during your stay to ensure no extra guests enter the condos. It was just a minor eye sore for photos/hassel of wearing the bracelet. Some people on 5th ave tried to con us into deals when they saw us wearing bracelets. On the expensive side.

Our stay at Aldea Thai by OceanFront was amazing. The condo looked exactly like the photos and was fully stocked with everything we needed. It’s right on Calle 28, less than a minute walk to the beach. It can get a bit noisy on weekends due to the nightlife, but that’s expected with such a central location. During the week, it was quiet and tranquil. The rooftop pool with Bluetooth speakers was a highlight and really set the vibe. The unit is a short walk from the front, which added to the privacy. We felt extremely safe the entire time. No need for taxis—everything from great restaurants to shopping and even Señor Frog’s was within walking distance. It was also a great base for day trips to Tulum or Cancun with private transport. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy Playa del Carmen in comfort and style.

Our family’s stay was wonderful! The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful and arranged airport transportation for us and answered all of our questions. The condo is gorgeous and so well maintained. Having the private access to our own rooftop pool and outdoor lounge was incredible. We stayed with our two young kids and their grandparents and it was the perfect size for our group. The area is also super walkable with tons of restaurants just outside the front door of Aldea Thai.

Our stay was lovely — the unit was perfect for the group of us celebrating my 30th birthday. They sent us a ton of helpful contacts, including decorating services. The place was clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. Having the private roof was also lovely. We lost electricity one night and Renzo sent electricians immediately. The only downfalls were that there was an obnoxious noise coming from the building next door that you could hear on the roof, and the showers did get a little cold after 2-3 people showered, but that’s to be expected.

Rodrigo's place was fantastic! Spacious and just as beautiful as in the photos. The location was ideal - walkable to all the great restaurants and bars and SO close to the beach. I was concerned when others mentioned an issue with hot water as our family appreciates hot showers after a pool day and we are pleased to report we had no issues! Renzo, the property manager, was attentive and responsive at all times whenever we had questions. I appreciated that he offered cleaning service for us while we were there (uncommon for airbnbs). We were able to use the private concierge to book transfer to and from the airport very easily. We enjoyed being able to connect our music to the speakers on the pool deck using wifi. One thing to note is that the elevators were often out of service (not unique to the unit but the condo itself so it was out of their control).
