The Space
Hi! I’m Luis, and I manage Trebolmar. After five years of hosting digital nomads, I understand how crucial reliable internet is for remote work. That’s why we installed a mesh Wi-Fi network supported by three providers—two fiber-optic connections and Starlink—offering speeds up to 400 Mbps. Each router has a battery backup to ensure you never miss a video call or meeting.
Our accommodation is designed to help you start your day with surfing, concentrate on work when needed, and unwind by enjoying the sunset in the evening.
Location
We are situated in Playa Carmen, Santa Teresa South, just a two-minute walk from the beach. This area offers ideal waves for beginner and intermediate surfers.

Sustainability
As a local Costa Rican deeply connected to my community, I prioritize nature and sustainability in this accommodation. Guests are encouraged to participate in composting and recycling efforts. We provide a water filter to reduce plastic bottle use.
Our laundry and cleaning products are primarily natural and biodegradable, supporting an eco-friendly environment.

One of my favorite spots is the garden, which features shared work tables and hammocks—perfect for focusing or socializing with other travelers.
Trebolmar consists of 8 apartments arranged side by side, with spacious gated parking available. This particular unit is located upstairs and is ideal for long stays. It includes:
- A private kitchen
- A private bathroom
- Access to shared laundry facilities
Inside, you’ll find a queen bed (1.5 m x 2 m) and a comfortable chair suitable for extended work sessions. The air conditioning unit is in the bedroom but effectively cools the entire space.

Luis is the nicest, most accommodating host you can have. He will do anything possible to help you out and make your experience as easy as possible. The apartment is exactly as described, and perfectly centrally located. Highly recommended!!

We had a great stay here, strong AC, beautiful shared courtyard and Luis is awesome. Loved walking down and got to enjoy many restaurants nearby. A walkable spot in the city

My husband and I spent 5 weeks at Trebolmar, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The unit is upstairs with a nice view of the garden, has a really great layout, the kitchen area with table and chairs is separate enough from the bedroom, so we could each have enough space. We greatly appreciated the lovely cleaner Dani for making our room smell so lovely twice a week, such a bonus! Having access to clean drinking water and a shared washing machine was very useful. My husband is a surfer, so the location was perfect for him to walk across the road and reach the waves at Playa Carmen in 5 minutes. And in general the location is one of the best in Santa Teresa, easy walking distance to supermarkets, cafes, spectacular sunsets, everything you need. The property has 8 units, and everyone staying there was friendly. Luis is an exceptional host, he definitely looks after the place and every detail, he was quick to respond to any questions and was always helpful. We look forward to returning :)

Very comfortable, with good amenities and a beautiful back yard. I stayed for a little over three weeks, so I greatly appreciated the pantry cabinet. Parking is easy and safe. Luis is both proactive and highly responsive; any question I sent was answered within the hour, and typically much faster. The desk is large and well-placed and the internet is consistently good, even in the midst of torrential rainstorms. There are lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Tours and vehicle rentals are easy to get to. The beach nearby isn't great for swimming, but I hear it's highly recommended for surfers, and it's also nice to walk along. The main road through Santa Teresa is busy and heavy on the exhaust fumes, but none of that reaches the apartment despite how close it is. I was able to see iguanas and agouti from the back yard. A friendly local cat also stops by frequently. Sunday brunch at Drift is great when it's available. Overall, a great place to stay and highly recommended.

Great place and great host! Room was tidy and the kitchen had all the necessary tools. Location is right across the beach. Luis went the extra mile as a host. Can recommend with both hands!
