The Space
Villa Tambuuco is a classic stone house featuring a Mediterranean style with high ceilings, evoking the elegant atmosphere of the early 20th century before World War II. The fresh Caribbean breeze flows throughout the home, enhancing its inviting ambiance. This spacious villa includes six bedrooms: Cuija, Tizoc, Pilon, Palomar, Master Bedroom, and Master Bedroom 2. Each bedroom is equipped with a king-size bed, air conditioning, and a hammock for relaxation.
The common areas offer various spaces to unwind or work. The main living room is perfect for reading, sending emails, or playing the piano. The dining area is ideal for enjoying meals prepared by Lupe or a hired chef. Guests can relax on two terraces while sipping coffee, play ping pong next to the outdoor bar, or lounge by the pool with music and a cold beer.
The Master Bedroom doubles as a movie room or office/study space, suitable for working groups. Additionally, the rooftop terrace provides an excellent spot to sunbathe or watch the sunset. Being the tallest house in Playacar, Villa Tambuuco offers some of the best views in the area.

Villa Tambuuco is located just 100 meters from the beach, nestled between ancient Mayan ruins and the beautiful Caribbean shoreline. It sits within the gated community of Playacar Phase 1, surrounded by flowering gardens and historic Mayan temples where indigenous peoples once performed rituals before crossing to Cozumel Island.

If I could give this listing more than 5 stars I would. This villa is situated in a beautiful neighborhood in Playa del Carmen and is only steps to the beach. Our check in and check out went so smoothly; Marc was extremely responsive when I had questions before checking in. The villa was even more beautiful in person than I anticipated and all of us have been raving about how much we loved staying here since our return back home. The house comes equipped with bikes, swim gear, an incredible pool and the most excellent customer service. While we were there Louisa helped us feel right at home, providing great communication throughout the entire weekend, it was so lovely. We so enjoyed Lupe as well and her help throughout the weekend with laundry, cooking breakfast, and helping us maintain the house. We had more than enough space for our group of 10 and will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone we know. Looking forward to the possibility of getting to visit again soon!

Our family had an absolutely amazing stay at this villa! The property was incredibly spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The villa itself exceeded our expectations, and the pool was truly amazing—perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. What made our experience even more special was the exceptional staff. They went above and beyond to help us throughout our trip, from connecting us with reliable drivers to recommending beaches with little to no sargassum and suggesting fantastic restaurants. Their guidance and hospitality made everything so easy and stress-free. This was one of the most memorable family vacations we’ve ever had, and we are so grateful for the wonderful experience. We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with outstanding service. We would absolutely love to return!

Our group of 10 had an incredible stay at Villa Tambuuco! The house has so much charming character, plenty of space to have some privacy or spend time together, and lots of amenities to keep you busy. Our group especially loved the pool, the rooftop, and bikes that make it easy to get to the beach. The hosts were so accommodating and even went above and beyond to drive us to the grocery store when we were having issues with grocery delivery. The housekeeper, Lupe, also looked after us very well and made us delicious breakfasts in the morning. Overall, we loved our time at Villa Tambuuco and our only regret was that we didn't stay for longer :)

100/10! Everything was made so easy, the neighborhood was so cute and walkable. The staff was so kind, helpful and welcoming. Would come back to Playa just to stay here again :)

This was the last stop on a 3 city tour of the Yucatan and it did not disappoint! This enormous house was so beautifully decorated, situated a block from the beach. They have everything you could need; bikes, beach chairs, water shoes, toys for the kids, umbrellas, games, a pool, darts, TV, ping pong and it goes on and on. There were 5 families with children and everyone felt comfortable, had big rooms with comfortable beds and hammocks to relax in. Our host was kind, responsive and gave great recommendations . Highly recommend you stay here if you find yourself in playa del Carmen. Hope to visit again one day!

Large and roomy home with character and traditional Mexican style. Lots of beach gear provided. Very short walk to the beach so you can go back and forth frequently. Close to resorts like Reef Resort if you want to purchase a day pass at an all-inclusive resort.

had the best time at marc’s place! we had 12 girls and plenty of space. every room had their own bathroom, which was so convenient with a large group of girls. lupe was wonderful and cooked us eggs every morning. laurice was so responsive and helpful, as was marc. the house was amazing and in a very private community. the beach is so close and easily walkable. we used the beach chairs and packed the cooler every day!!!
