Very nice place

So the photos really don’t do this place justice! A beautiful large house in southern Manzanillo, 20 minutes on gravel road to Santa Teresa. Crazy pretty property with the upstairs balcony looking down to the ocean over jungle and palm canopy. Valeska is awesome, met us when we arrived showed us around and helped us book a taxi into ST for new years. Massively recommend a stay here! If we are ever in Costa Rica we will be going back 10000%.

Absolutely perfect if you need Pura Vida!!! The hill was tough to climb back to the house, but the beach was 100% worth it! Visits from spider and howler monkeys made it special! We also inherited a black dog (we called him Diego) which accompanied us all week long a little tough to say goodbye to him!

Can’t get much closer to the beach, road noise was a little annoying as many motorcycles with modified exhaust like to rip up and down the only stretch of pavement but other than that very enjoyable stay

Beautiful spot in Manzanillo. You are in front of a incredible beach with amazing sunsets Grocery store is a 15-20 minute walk also a wonderful bakery and restaurant nearby Large comfortable bed . Home has perfect for a couple Neat and clean Whiteface monkeys and howlers monkeys will visit at times. Would come again

Good chill place

I loved our stay at Casa Bambu. Solid location, peaceful surroundings. A short walk down the drive way leads you to what feels like a private beach. I would book here again!

My stay at Ulrike's was the highlight of my entire trip, it felt like coming home... Ulrike's place feels quite authentic, it is special in so many ways. You stop being the tourist...it feels like your private sanctuary in the tropics with its national park level beauty. We enjoyed so many things, the amazing sunsets over a few beer from her porch overlooking the ocean, not to mention the swimming in the tide pools at the nearby beach, super relaxing, unmatched by any swimming pool...and the caretakers are locals, which they treated us like family; we enjoyed practicing our "beginners Spanish", shared a meal, she let me taste guanabana, a delicious tropical fruit grown on the property and he was taking us out for a horseback ride at sunset at the beach...will definitely come back!

WOW. Staying at Ulricke's place was what made my trip to Costa Rica complete and super speical. The caretakers Arjenis and Melissa are locals and they really treat you as family. They gave me great recommendations- oh and definitely go horseback riding at sunset with Arjenis! The house was perfect for me, peaceful, clean, washer, great fridge, really a complete kitchen- and I love cooking. Also, there are great spots super close by, Kojis, and a few other cafes. The location of this house was perfect because it was close enough to Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa, but just close enough that I felt like I was in a more private area with less traffic and noise. I really felt like I was in my own private sanctuary. The moments I had at the beach at sunset are some of the moments I'll cherish forever. The howler monkeys in the morning have truly become music to my ears. If there's anywhere to stay in Costa Rica it's here. I highly recommend it. I will definitely be back. Thank you so so much
