Secluded beachfront eco-casita in Nosara’s Playa Pelada, with lush gardens, saltwater pool, yoga loft, and easy access to surf, dining, and nature—perfect for relaxing or remote work.
Location
Villas Ecositas Nosara is situated in Playa Pelada, one of the most tranquil and picturesque spots in Nosara. The road ends directly at this beachfront property, ensuring no dust, traffic, or noise—just the peaceful sounds of nature. Once you arrive, there is no need to drive as you can easily walk or bike along the beach to nearby stores, restaurants, and surf spots. The nearly private beach is only a short stroll from your doorstep, where the sound of waves and wildlife fills the air.
The Space
Casa Pagoda, part of Villas Ecositas Nosara, is a beautifully handcrafted teak timber-framed ecological casita built with traditional Japanese design and joinery techniques using locally sourced natural materials. Its two-tiered structure resembles a Japanese pagoda, which inspired the name.
The upper loft serves as a private yoga space or a bedroom with a view, accommodating either a single or double bed. The kitchen features granite countertops, a gas range, a full-sized refrigerator, and is fully equipped with utensils, stainless steel cookware, and appliances needed to prepare gourmet meals. A Ninja blender is available for making smoothies from fresh local fruits, and if the season is right, you may find ripe papayas growing just outside the door.
Enjoy the new saltwater pool and the spacious surrounding deck, perfect for cooling off during the day, relaxing with a book and morning coffee, or sharing an evening cocktail with family or friends.
Casa Pagoda is ideal for families with small children (crib included), couples seeking a romantic retreat, business travelers wanting a beachside work session, or anyone looking for solitude and meditation on one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches, Playa Pelada.
The casita can accommodate up to six guests but is best suited for families of four or couples. It is not appropriate for groups of more than four single individuals requiring separate beds.

A Magical Escape in Pelada! This casita was a true gem! From the moment we woke up to the sounds of the jungle, we knew we were in for a special stay. It felt like a peaceful retreat, far away from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently close to stores and great restaurants. The beach path leading to Pelada Beach was absolutely magical — easy access and such a beautiful walk! The casita itself was beautifully built, with a cozy yet spacious feel. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, making it feel like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommend this tranquil, nature-filled retreat!

Great location close to the beach with a 4 min walk right from the doorstep. Fantastic beach that was not too busy. Far enough away from the busy part of town but close enough to walk to a few great restaurants with El Chivo being the favourite.

Case Pagoda is one of four casitas, rented, located on the property. It is private surrounded by palms and has everything you need including a full kitchen, full bath and separate but not private sleeping areas. If you like privacy but easy accessibility to the surrounding happenings it's perfect. At night you can see, and hear, the howler monkeys and the sunrise cacophony of birds is just beautiful. Easy access to Playa Paleda, just off a short path and a lovely stroll over to Playa Guiones. Good selection of bars and restaurants all walkable- We will be back!

Steve’s place is in a wonderful location. There’s a path to Pelada beach, in a very beautiful, clean and quiet area. We walked to the beach most of the time and enjoyed the natural tide pools in the mornings. Sunrise walks were absolutely amazing! We traveled with our 15 month old baby, she had a blast playing on the beach and in the tide pools. There are restaurants near the property, we had smoothies, local pastries and tacos every day. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to back in the near future.

Such a beautiful place to end our vacation stay in Costa Rica. We have stayed in many different bnbs in CR, and this one ranks as our of our favorites. It's a quick and easy walk to the beach, which almost feels like a private beach. And the beach is a great spot to watch the sunset. Lots of birds and monkeys around. We even had a coati hanging out at the house. The host, Steve, was great as well. He allowed for an early check-in, was very responsive and helpful, and an all-around friendly person. His recommendations for restaurants, all within walking distance, did not disappoint. I wish we would have found this place sooner and stayed longer. We will be back again.

Steve’s place was one of my favorite places I have stayed. The Casitas were built with wood craftsmanship. The fact that the pristine beach was so close and walkable from the property was a huge plus .

Great place near playa Pelada. This is not the surf beach which is playa Guiones. It was a little quieter in playa pelada which was nice. If we had known we would be surfing everyday we would have maybe stayed a little closer to guiones which also has more night lifeand shops. Still plenty of things to walk to here as well!
