The Space

This property features four separate sleeping cabinas, each designed for comfort and privacy:

• Cabina 1: Queen over queen bunk bed
• Cabina 2: Queen bed
• Cabina 3: Queen bed
• Cabina 4: Queen over queen bunk bed

Every unit includes a full bathroom with on-demand hot water, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and a closet. Please note that none of the units have televisions. Each cabina is independent and not connected to the others by interior doors.

At the heart of the property, you will find the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas, along with a pool and a yoga platform. These communal spaces are surrounded by the bedroom units and lush landscaping.

About Espacio

Espacio is a beautifully designed boutique retreat nestled between Bahia and Uvita in Costa Rica. Surrounded by verdant farmlands, the distant sounds of the Pacific Ocean, and rainforest-covered mountain ridges, it offers a peaceful sanctuary. The retreat was founded by a husband and wife inspired by their transformative visit to Costa Rica in 2017.

Within the retreat center, you will find four tranquil units, each outfitted with luxurious bedding and elegant, minimalist custom beds. Three units feature queen-over-queen lofted beds, while one has a plush queen bed. Each queen unit includes a polished and brushed concrete walk-in shower designed to provide a calm and distraction-free experience.

Every cabina opens onto a private garden, offering a secluded space to relax, read, or enjoy a quiet coffee.

The communal outdoor area is a culinary haven with a chef’s kitchen. Guests can enjoy meals at the large polished concrete island, the hand-carved dining table, or unwind in the cozy lounge spaces. This area fosters a sense of community and relaxation while embracing the subtle energies of the group.

Adjacent to the communal area is a concrete pool and a yoga and meditation platform set within lush landscaping, creating a perfect environment for rejuvenation and inner peace. The space accommodates a variety of activities, including personal reflection, group meditation, yoga sessions, or resting in one of the many hammocks.

Crystals are intentionally embedded in the foundations to enhance the energetic atmosphere:

• Rose Quartz beneath each bedroom and communal space, symbolizing unconditional love and emotional healing
• Obsidian in the foundation corners, providing grounding and protection from negativity
• Selenite at the property corners, promoting purity, peace, spiritual growth, and mental clarity
• Clear Quartz under the yoga and meditation platform, known as the "Master Healer," to clear the mind and harmonize energies

Getting There

Espacio is located approximately a 3.5-hour drive southwest of San Jose International Airport. Various transportation options are available, including local and international car rentals, private shuttles, and reliable bus services.

The route to the retreat follows Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, reminiscent of California’s Pacific Coast Highway. Along the way, you will pass through Quepos, a coastal town famous for its beautiful beaches, surf spots, fishing, and excellent cuisine.

Quepos is also home to Manuel Antonio National Park, a biodiversity hotspot with 109 mammal species and 350 bird species, including monkeys, sloths, toucans, snakes, iguanas, and a variety of insects. Visitors can explore the park independently or with knowledgeable local guides for a richer experience.
