The Space

This rustic two-story beachfront home in Playa Hermosa, near Jacó, offers direct beach access and a shared oceanfront pool. Recently remodeled in 2024, the property provides stunning ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for beach lovers and adventurers seeking a no-frills surf town experience.

The house accommodates up to 11 guests, including three couples or five solo visitors. It features:

• Air conditioning on the first floor only
• Breezy hammock lounge upstairs (no air conditioning)

The pool and grounds are shared with a second Airbnb rental for two guests and the owner's residence. Onsite security and maintenance support are available 24/7.

Please note:

• No pets allowed
• No parties permitted
• No glass containers in the pool area
• Loud highway noise at night—earplugs recommended
• The beach is suitable for surfing only and is not safe for swimming

The pool is situated between the house and the beach, offering a perfect spot to enjoy beautiful sunsets and watch the weekly Hermosa Beach afternoon surf tournaments hosted by the neighboring Backyard Hotel. Amenities include:

Important Notes

• Playa Hermosa has strong ocean currents and is unsafe for swimming; multiple drownings have occurred. Please exercise extreme caution.
• Iguanas roam freely on the property.
• Loud road traffic noise is common at night; bringing earplugs is advised.
• Guests are encouraged to bring their own surfboards, rent locally, or take surf lessons.

• Quiet hours from 9 PM to 9 AM
• Recycling must fit in bins; excess recycling incurs a $25 fee
• No glassware or bottles allowed in the pool area
• Do not flush toilet paper
• Use the outdoor shower before entering the pool
• Pool is closed daily from 7 AM to 8 AM for cleaning
• Keep downstairs doors closed to prevent wildlife entry
• Lock doors and gates when away or at night
• Turn off fans and lights when not in use
• Leave the property clean and as found

Prohibited:

• Drugs, parties, loud music, or public intoxication
• Pets or visitors

Fines:

• Unauthorized guests: $30 per day or $50 per night
• Pets: $40 per day per pet
