The Space
Designed for couples, families, or friends, Casa Luna Beach House offers a comfortable, airy, clean, and refreshing place to relax. With the beach just steps away, you can enjoy beach and sea views from the balcony without needing to leave the house unless you want to.
A small road separates the property from the sand and sea. The home combines modern conveniences and stylish comfort with Costa Rica’s rich outdoor-living lifestyle.
The bedrooms are air-conditioned and furnished for restful nights:
- Two bedrooms offer a choice of one king bed or two twin beds.
- The third bedroom has two queen beds.
- Beds and bedding are high quality and imported from Canada.
The large balcony overlooks the beach and sea, while fresh breezes, jungle sounds, and the rhythm of the waves create a soothing atmosphere.
Outdoor Areas
The downstairs pool deck is spacious and partially covered, providing both sunny and shaded areas. It includes:

Playa Negra stretches for 22 kilometers and is never crowded. Puerto Viejo is approximately a 20-minute walk along the beach.
Guest Access
Casa Luna Beach House is the owners’ home when they are in Costa Rica. During your stay, the entire house is exclusively yours.
Main Level and Pool Deck
The main level includes:

Upper Level
The upper level is accessed by stairs and includes:
- Two air-conditioned bedrooms
- A choice of one king bed or two twin beds in each bedroom
- A private adjacent bathroom for each bedroom
- A fully equipped kitchen

- A dining area
- A large balcony with beach and sea views
- An additional lounge area
Services and Amenities
Housekeeping is included in the rental price. Stays longer than five days also include a complimentary midweek cleaning.
Taxes and fees are included in the rental cost. Laundry service is available during your stay for a small additional fee.
The house manager can also help arrange:

We loved the location being across from the beach, the pool was clean and nice to dip into when it was hot, the rooms had AC that kept us cool at night, the layout of the home was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen was very easy to use. We cooked with ease. The water clean and filtered. We felt secure and secluded. The garden patio and pool was so relaxing and felt like a paradise. Has a Caribbean beach feel. The beds are very comfortable and the lighting storms spectacular. There is a cool breeze from the ocean that re-energize the soul. We had four people, this can easily accommodate three couples or a large family with the three Large bedroom three areas, the deck has a overlooking the pool and garden area giving it a extremely eye pleasing view. The price point is what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making your Casa Luna our home away from home.

Great spot within a stones throw of the ocean. The house has many amenities, but most valuable to us were the private bathrooms for each bedroom, each with climate controls; great shared living spaces (indoor and out); and tiny but awesome dunk pool. The house reflects some wear and tear but Rise was very responsive on issues.

This stay had a great location across the beach from Playa Negra. Also, immediately next to Perla Negra which can get loud at times, especially since most spaces are open air. The car traffic was loud, and the parking is absolutely awful. The AC in the upstairs bedrooms worked well, but downstairs wasn't sufficient for the room, and it does not cool the bathroom so keep the door closed at all times. The doors were something else too. The drive gate only works by remote, and dont get it wet. The front door doesnt close unless locked. We were notified upon arrival someone would be out to repair the keypad. It wasnt repaired until we were locked out(5 days after arrival), and the manual key did not work, and we were forced to call for entry. Also, the pool was "cleaned" twice while we were there but it was always low on water levels and full of sand, upon arrival and throughout our stay we didn't consider it clean. Property has great potential but needs serious attention to upkeep.

We love the house very specious . Pool is small but one side is almost 5”10 deep and the other 4-5feet gradually goes deeper. No TV- we would have like to set music videos or our Nintendo switch . However you have an Alexa speaker- we moved it from up stairs to down and where we needed it . The beach is right across the house the waves are loud and clear at pool and outside patio . Once You close room doors it’s hard to hear it. Morning birds and dogs are your alarms. Lots of dogs however they are super nice and friendly at the beach many around . The TukTuk 3 passenger only was nice to move around 5 min into town . The bicycling near by to mini grocery store 2 min or the bigger grocery store 10 min - we walked and it was beautiful cool bugs/frogs/ birds.The main town food and shopping is 20 min bicycle ride . To far to walk if .We loved the trees/beach clean was amazing super calm and visible fish . Perfect for kids . No big waves . I had 3 teenagers and we can’t wait to come go back

We truly enjoyed our time at Casa Luna, easy walk to restaurant, bar and nice well-stocked convenience store. Nice black sand beach and so close to Puerto Viejo for shops, restaurants & nightlife.

This place can be much better if a little time was put into it to fix a few things. When paying for a place on vacation, everything should be in working condition.
