Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The layout of the property was ideal for our group of 9. We spent a lot of time around the pool and enjoyed the privacy of the casitas. It’s also in a very accessible location. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and the beach. We liked not being in a very touristy area and found that all of the locals were incredibly nice. There were a few hiccups, which Vacasa worked to rectify. The listing shows one casita with 4 sofa beds, which didn’t exist. All casitas have one king bed and either a sofa bed or 2 chairs. We also didn’t have access to the bikes that were included in the listing. As we were packing up, we saw someone pulling them out of a shed for the next guests, which was disappointing. Other than the issues with the 4 sofa beds and bikes, this was a great place to stay and just needs a bit of TLC to make it even better.

The stay was awesome. The city/town of Hopkins was everything we expected and more. The housing compound was extremely safe and secure. All of the cabana's were clean and well cared for. Everything someone could require to cook at home or reheat leftovers from the day before was available. Pool was cleaned every other day and always refreshing. Overall a great location and place to vacation if you don't want to resort lifestyle/price.

We loved staying in these cabanas, but I wanted to list a few things to help other travelers on their quest for a place to stay. This property is a few blocks back from the beach, and you have to walk down or you the street to avoid walking through backyards. There are no neighbors on either side, but there are houses across the street where locals live. Although there are some places to walk to, the bikes were a much better option. It was a nice touch to have the bikes available, but all the tires were flat when we arrived. I asked for a tire pump but never received one. We were able to find a golf cart rental place that had a compressor or the bikes wouldn’t be able to be used. The cabanas themselves are fully equipped with kitchen supplies, and a stove top. Please note there is no oven. We were only given one pool towel per cabana, and please note there is no AC, only fans in the rooms. If you are the type of traveler who likes a resort vibe with easy access to a clean white sand beach, this is not the place for you. The closest beach had quite a bit of trash, and dilapidated buildings. We loved hearing the locals party and play the drums at night, and we were the only tourists on the 4 blocks around us. After a few days we go to know the people in Hopkins and really fell in love, you will really be able to experience the culture in this spot.

The cabanas are adorable. The pool is definitely a bonus in the heat of the Belizean summer.
