Located at the heart of a 300-acre nature reserve, Casa Tara exudes peace and tranquility. The architecture is reminiscent of a Tuscany Villa elegantly blended with a Spanish Hacienda. This villa boasts two full master bedrooms. One with a private balcony and the other opening up to the ground level terrace. They both offer stunning vistas of nature, the ocean, and the sunset. Watch the sunset, float in the pool, listen to the surf- this is the perfect home for you to get away from it all! The space This is a beautiful spacious house just recently began to be offered as a rental, with an extraordinarily peaceful feeling and the interior courtyard allows light and rain to come in and creating a feeling of privacy and old world beauty. All bedrooms have new ac units and new mattress with memory foam toppers. Hi-speed internet throughout the house. There are basically two master bedrooms. The courtyard is an extraordinary magical space open above so the rain comes in and cools the house and drains down to rain chains. The upstairs master has a romantic king canopy bed and beautiful balcony with ocean view has comfortable chairs and a coffee table, a perfect place to greet the day with your coffee or watch the sunset with a glass of wine. In the upstairs bedroom you feel separate from the rest of the house and the en suite sink allows for making tea or coffee as you let the rest of the house wake up below you. The second master bedroom downstairs has a king and single bed and French doors open onto porch with an ocean vista. The large bath has two sinks and a large walk in shower. There is a flat screen tv also in the bedroom. Downstairs off the courtyard is a lovely queen room with a fold out love seat/ single couch bed, built in desk and bathroom next door. The kitchen has a gas stove with griddle and lots of dinnerware, glasses, pots and pans, knives, baking equipment, drip coffee machine and a pass-through window to the dining area on the porch. The pool is large enough for laps and has an area for sunning and a table with an umbrella, and also a half bath and an outdoor shower. There is a home office also with an air conditioner and two desks. The house has high-speed Internet both upstairs and downstairs. There are extraordinary ocean sunset and moon set views from the house. The tranquility is remarkable, and the stars at night are brilliant due to there being no light pollution in the area. Around the house are roads of the finca Los Suenos with a few other houses, great for early morning walks to watch the monkeys and pisote play in the trees. The Ostional beach where the turtles lay their eggs it’s a 10 minute drive and you can see it from the house. The famous beach of Ostianal where are the Ridley turtles lay their eggs and there is also a powerful surf break. Tours can be arranged with a local guide to watch the turtles lay their eggs and watch the babies hatch and make their way back to the ocean. Also the small fishing village of San Juanillo is also a 10 minute drive and there there’s a safe harbor for kids to swim, play and snorkel. It’s a local favorite for sunset and in the town there are several small restaurants and one at the beach for drinks and food with a view. This little town is like Costa Rica before the tourists arrived. It’s still a real fishing village. 25 minutes north is a good surf break at Marbella with a Tiki Bar and 25 minutes south is Playa Guiones also famous for surfing, great restaurants, a pharmacy and shopping. Guest access There’s plenty of parking in our private driveway and entering the house requires no stairs. Other things to note Los Suenos Is community international community within a 300 acre biological reserve, wake up to the sound of howler monkeys and parquets. Casa Tara is within this small internal community established 30 years ago and has some of the best water in the whole area with three excellent wells. The delicious water can be consumed right out of the tap.

Casa Tara is a truly special place. Serene, quiet, private and generously spacious, stocked with everything one could need. It feels like a truly hallowed home, set apart in its tranquillity. We delighted in the sounds of the jungle and each sunset unfolded with a Turneresque splendour.

Had a great stay! There were monkeys outside our bedroom every morning. The sunrises/sunsets were beautiful. The house felt very well thought of and peaceful. Pictures don’t do justice to the views you get for sunset. Will definitely be back. Our host Kesh was very thorough and helpful. Host is readily available and always quick to respond.

Joan was a great host. Very kind and accommodating. The house was beautiful. Incredibly charming. Amazing views and very calm and peaceful. Kesh, the house manager, was super friendly and helpful. He gave me great recommendations for the area- including a horse tour that I super recommend. I had an amazing time. It was the perfect tranquil escape in nature. You definitely to make sure you get a 4 wheel vehicle for the area. Super recommend. Absolutely loved my stay. Would love to go again. Truly magical.

There are no words to describe the awesomeness of this place! Immediately upon arrival we were blown away with the creative design (inside and out)of the home surrounded by flora and fauna! Although, we had a great time exploring the other towns, we could not wait to get back to this home! There at Casa Tara all of our stress and troubles seem to drift away into the soft gentle breeze as we took in the most AMAZING views and surroundings ever! Naturally, we left feeling rested and rejuvenated when our week was over. The only regret was not booking an extra week!

What an amazing one of a kind home. The views were breathtaking ! sunsets, rain storms,thunderstorms , clear view of the waves breaking on the rocky outcropings and the beach. birds and monkeys. The turtle reserve where the oliver ridley nests is not very far away at all. I never wanted to leave the place. Kesh was a great host. Thank you Kesh ! bring your food for cooking though, its a trek to resupply. the house was well stocked, oils pots and pans, first aid kit which we appreciated and used.

Magical place! Great hosts. Amazing view beautiful colorful sunsets off the back porch. 10 minutes from a beautiful and kid friendly San Juanillo beach, a convenience store, and some good restaurants. Kids enjoyed the pool, air conditioners in bedrooms worked great. A bunch of monkeys came to visit our last morning! Our family had a magical and memorable time!

10 out of 10 !!! Enjoying Casa Tara was a beautiful experience! Not many places have the energy and peacefulness this place emanates. The house and amenities are true to the pictures announced. The level of privacy, the great ocean view, and the well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, etc. made us feel like home. Lama Tsultrim was always keen to make sure we were having a smooth check in. Kesh was also our contact person in the house, and was very helpful to let us in, and show us how the house works, and activities to do around. Super recommended. We will go back again!!

Our stay at Casa Tara was magical!! The moment we walked through the entryway we were blown away by the open air atrium. It echoes the sounds and energy of the jungle. When it rains, the rain drops fill the room and capture the beauty of the jungle. The afternoon rainstorms grew to be some our favorite moments. Moving in to the the main room you are awestruck by the open layout and incredible view. The jungle canopy leads to the ocean, waves and horizon. So peaceful! The animals & sounds of the jungle are everywhere. Howler monkeys, fox, iguana, lizards, too many butterflies to count, and our favorite coati. We spent most of the days lounging in the pool and soaking in the jungle, or reading under the covered deck. Truly amazing! Steven is a spectacular host. He was responsive to every question (even the silly ones as we got acclimated to jungle life). He even helped us with a minor car issue. Above and beyond! We will always cherish our month at Casa Tara. Highly recommend!
