The Space
Four Monkeys Eco Lodge offers a unique glamping experience just steps from the beach. Wake up to the soothing sounds of the ocean, monkeys, and birds while enjoying a beautiful sunrise. Relax in the warm ocean waters and disconnect from daily routines by immersing yourself in nature.
This eco-glamping site is completely off-grid and designed to blend comfort with the natural environment. Each unit features luxurious orthopedic mattresses, comfortable pillows, and thoughtful details to ensure a cozy and enjoyable stay. For safety reasons, babies and children are not permitted.
The glamping units are nestled in tropical vegetation and wildlife, providing a peaceful retreat with a high level of comfort. Each accommodation includes:

- Premium sheets and towels
- Private deck
- Private bathroom designed to allow observation of monkeys and birds while showering
The focus is on living harmoniously with nature, respecting and preserving the environment. The lodge operates with solar energy, sources water from a well, and practices recycling and renewal efforts. Guests are encouraged to adapt to the natural surroundings rather than urban standards.
Before booking, please consider the tropical climate, which can include high temperatures, humidity, insects, and wildlife. This location may not suit everyone’s preferences.
In addition to the new beachfront bungalows, the property also offers three other glamping units set within tropical vegetation and a private house with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen (Four Monkeys Eco Lodge – the House).

The lodge is situated on a 20,000 square meter property where the jungle meets the ocean, just a few steps from a private, clean, safe, and tranquil beach. Wildlife such as monkeys and birds are easily observed nearby.
Nearby attractions and activities include:
- Walking to Rio Tamales for fishing and birdwatching
- Visiting Blue Clay, just minutes away
- Exploring King Louis Waterfall, primary forests, and hiking trails
- Surfing at secluded spots as well as Pan Dulce, Backwash, and Cabo Matapalo (5 km away)
- Corcovado National Park, located 32 km from the lodge

Additional Information
- Some sections of the access road can be difficult; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended
- Puerto Jiménez is 11 km away and offers supermarkets, banks, a gas station, laundry services, and restaurants
- It is advisable to purchase supplies before arriving, as there are no shops near the lodge
- A few restaurants are located a few kilometers away, though some may close during the low season

Lo viví como un paraíso! inclusive se ven más animales que en el propio parque nacional. Teníamos kms de playa para caminar apreciando la belleza de como la selva se funde con el mar, nos cruzamos con mucha fauna solo saliendo de la cama. Pudimos ver amaneceres desde la cabeza apoyada en la almohada. Era salir a los senderos,( bien marcados y cuidados)de Silvi y mirar los árboles con 4 especies de monos conviviendo en perfecta armonía. Es un lugar que realmente me tocó el alma, me sentí pequeña y lloré de emoción más de una vez viendo la simpleza y la magia de la naturaleza. Silvi tiene realmente un pedazo de paraíso en la tierra y como persona es excelente.Siempre súper atenta y dispuesta a ayudar en todo. Sin duda volveremos. Nos fuimos con ganas de quedarnos 🥹❤️

Nous avons beaucoup aimé les 4 monkeys . Cest un endroit magnifique, confortable et impeccable . Nous avons eu la chance de voir 3 sortes de singe dont le fameux singe araignée grace à Silvina et elle nous a montré des cigales en transformation c'était génial . C'est comme un mini parc corcovado 😀 Nous avons vu beaucoup d'oiseaux , dont les fameux aras rouge pétant. Les tentes sont décoré avec goût et très confortable, les meilleurs matelas et oreiller du Costa Rica . Cuisine partager top qualité et beau desing De plus , cest toujours propre grâce au travail de toute l'équipe de Silvina . Ce fut un super moment, nous vous recommande de vivre cette expérience unique de glamping de luxe. Merci a vous tous pour votre travail acharné pour rendre cet endroit magique 😄 En plus nous avons eu la chance de faire une randonnée sur la plage incroyable avec Rufus, Fioana et Ozzy.

What an amazing experience! This place is truly paradise. Guests have their own bungalows to sleep in - only a moment’s stroll from the beach. There is a community area with a beautiful and well-stocked kitchen and the overall vibe is so peaceful and communal. We saw abundant wildlife - numerous monkeys, macaws and other exotic birds. Truly the most memorable experience we’ve had in Costa Rica!

This place has a magical sweetness to it and is a great value. Highly recommend! The communal kitchen and dining allow for guests to be social, but it’s also not forced, which is nice. (Be sure to bring food for your entire stay. You get a shelf in a fridge and a plastic bin for other food items.) We saw a lot of wildlife just sitting and walking around the property. Every day was an amazing discovery of flora and fauna. The beautiful private beach is a lovely place to walk, swim, and watch sunrises and sunsets. Hearing the ocean at night is soothing. All around, one of the best places we have stayed in Costa Rica! Go!

Beautiful area, a lot of wildlife to spot, just be aware that it can be really hot during the days in the huts and during the night, but its doable, also the beach is not really private

C'était mon premier séjour dans un écolodge et je n'ai pas été déçue. Ce trop court séjour a été le highlight de mon voyage au Costa Rica! Le lieu est magnifique, bien tenu et regorge de biodiversité. La longue plage invite aux marches matinales et il est aussi possible de faire de petites excusions dans les environs. Alors... Oups! La rando dans le Corcovado aura lieu une prochaine fois!

Four Monkeys was absolutely amazing, it is even more beautiful than in the photos and Silvina was a wonderful and warm-hearted host - all the instructions were clear how to get to the place, everything worked perfectly and she even took time to watch the monkeys with us and tell about the area <3. Being immersed in the nature is a very special experience, we saw so many birds and animals just while staying at Four Monkeys. There are also many opportunities for excursions and activities if one is interested in doing that. If you visit Costa Rica you should definitely visit Four Monkeys!
