The Butterfly House is a charming, beautiful cabin located in a secluded area surrounded by green forest. Only a short walk to streams and creeks. The cabin is 10 minutes' drive from downtown La Fortuna, where you will find plenty of restaurants and nightlife. This house is a perfect place to rest and relax in between the fun variety of tourist activities (rafting, hiking, horseback riding, hot springs and much more) available in La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano. The space You find two bedrooms both have their own air conditioning units. The master bedroom has a queen bed with two large windows so you can wake up to the beautiful greenery that surrounds the cabin. The second room has two twin beds with the same view. You can relax in the backyard and enjoy the sounds of nature and many types of birds. Imagine enjoying a beverage sitting on the back porch after a fun day of hiking or horseback riding in a rainforest while taking in the spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano. Guest access Guests have full access to all areas of the house. Other things to note The kitchen and living room are an open layout separated by a bar top with chairs. In the living room there is a couch that pulls out to a bed in front of a television mounted on the wall. There is a dining table and chairs in the living room as well. The living room has its own AC unit. If you prefer to prepare your own meals the kitchen is equipped with appliances, toaster, blender, microwave and other cooking essentials. There are dishes and silverware as well.

Finding the location and getting in was easy since the door has a code rather than a key. This allowed us to check-in a bit early and get settled. The host was extremely responsive when it came to questions and requests and they helped resolve everything from where to find firewood, accessing the washer and dryer, and dealing with occasional bugs. Both bedrooms were spacious with queen beds in each and AC in all rooms. The bathroom, while small, had a nice shower. The location was enough outside of La Fortuna to be peaceful and quiet (and very safe), but close enough to get to any excursion or restaurant in under 15 minutes.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit allem ausgestattet. Der schöne, gut abgetrennte Garten ist toll, viele Vögel zu beobachten, auch Eichhörnchen. Es ist schön ruhig und die Nachbarn sind nett.

We had a lovely time at Casa Mariposa - the house is located in a very tranquil area just a short drive away from La Fortuna (if you have a car, very much worth it!). Everything was impeccable when we checked-in and the house was very well furnished with all kind of electrodomestics in case you are planning on cooking there: air fryer, blender, rice cooker, toaster... between others. The outdoor area was lovely to have and so peaceful. If you are lucky enough, you may be able to spot the Arenal volcano; we could not see it during our stay as too cloudy, but I guess this is the perfect excuse to come back ;)

We found Maite’s space to match the Airbnb description. It was private and easy access by car. Maite and team provided lots of recommendations for restaurants and groceries, which we used to find some favorites. We didn’t need much from Maite and she was responsive when we had questions. The property was peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery. We were unable to see Mt. Arenal from the property as cloud coverage was not in our favor.

A casa é muito aconchegante! Possui todas as comodidades que você precisa para sua família!! Adoramos! Deve-se atentar que a casa fica um pouco distante do centrinho da cidade, necessitando de carro para se locomover!

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet einen großen Garten, in dem man wunderbar entspannen kann. Die Küche ist mit vielen Utensilien ausgestattet, sodass Kochen problemlos möglich ist. Besonders beeindruckend waren die Vogelbeobachtungen direkt aus dem Garten. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, und insgesamt haben wir uns hier richtig wohlgefühlt. Sehr empfehlenswert
