We represent three generations in our family and 'Flamingo Blu' was loved by all 11 of us. The grounds supplied entertainment for every age group. There was a bocci ball court, trampoline and a fabulous infinity pool, not to mention several steps below the property, the beautiful Pacific Ocean with the wide, expansive well known, Flamingo Beach. We were greeted by Renzo, our host, who showed us around the grounds and explained everything to familiarize us with the property. We were in awe of the architecture and inspired by the warmth of the rooms and the beautiful decor. Our housekeepers and gardener were " the best", very friendly, kind and accommodating. If you supply the laundry soap, they are happy to wash and fold your personal clothing. They kept the entire house, including the patios clean each day. The garden was raked and the pool was cleaned daily. This was a truly a relaxing vacation enjoyed by all! Many thanks to the staff at Flamingo Blu. Pura Vida

Spectacular vacation. You are in the jungle so expect some bugs a crabs coming into the house despite exceeding thorough house staff. Would definitely re-book here rather than going to Hawaii!

The house is amazing, looks just like the pictures, the pool was great, staff were so friendly and helpful. (If I'd known they'd do our laundry daily I would have packed lighter!). I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone. We used the recommended chef service a few times, worked out great. One thing not shown clearly in the pictures are the steps to the beach. The steps shown in a picture are the steps to the bocce court, not the steps to the beach, which aren't nearly as built up, much longer and hard to navigate for anyone with any kind of mobility issues. Any time my older mother wanted to go to the beach we ended up driving her down. There is also a complicated system of sharing the beach gate with the neighbor which didn't work very well - we got locked out on the beach once and my son had to clamber over the gate to get back in. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us but it would be nice if it was clearer in the listing so people can make an informed decision beforehand.

Our stay at Flamingo Blu was absolutely incredible. The home has a really cool circular design with garden space in the middle and then the house wraps around it. It felt very authentic Costa Rican, with a lot of exposed wood beams and colorful furniture and accent design. The exterior is really beautiful and the infiniti pool overlooking the ocean has the most amazing views of the coast. To get to the beach it's about 50-100 stone steps - maybe a 5 minute walk. We had 3 families and a total of 6 kids. The bunk room sleeps 5 kids, so that was perfect. There are 3 King bedrooms on the main floor, and they all have onsuite bathrooms. On the lower deck, where the pool is located, there's another bedroom with bath, and a small kitchen. It's a great setup! We opted not to rent a golf cart and I'm happy we didn't. The road to the villa is pretty rough with large holes it in, so it's tough to drive on . We took ubers into town and it was fine. Pura Vida!

This house was wonderful. It had incredible views. Lots of great places to hang out with all the guests and everything was comfortable. Having a beautiful pool and sitting area along with easy access to a gorgeous and mostly quiet beach area was really great. Incredible landscaping that made it feel private but left enough open to enjoy the beautiful views. All the vegetation attracted wonderful birds to the yard. The house was nicely decorated with some really nice artwork. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools you needed to prepare meals as well as a great bbq area. The place was immaculate on arrival and was kept super clean the entire time we were there. The staff did a wonderful job, was super nice and kept a low profile during our visit. Renzo our host was great. He met us on arrival and took us through the entire house. He helped us with transportation to and from the house, rental vehicles, preordering food and having food prepared for us. We loved it!!!

We cannot say enough how much we appreciated and enjoyed our vacation at Playa Flamingo. The house was just beautiful and so comfortable. The house looks just like the pictures. Our house keepers made sure we had breakfast fruit ready each day,it was delicious. The whole house was spotless each day. The pool and gardens were cleaned and kept up each day. We spent a lot of time in the pool,it was amazing. Diego helped with questions with the house and schedules for adventures we wanted to do. Elmer was on the job every nite and was a real joy to have around. He was right there when we needed him to help with a minor repair. Chef Luis made us two wonderful meals, one was for our 50th anniversary. The seabass,and Mahi-mahi was incredible. The next meal was chefs choice for local food. Again, the meal was outstanding. We highly recommend having Chef Luis cook a meal, no one will be disappointed. If we return to Costa Rica, would stay here again!

This is by far the most expensive rental I've ever gotten, but we had a large party and it was definitely worth it. The house is gorgeous in photos, but even more breath taking in person. Every room had a view and you could hear the ocean. I didn't even realize all of the services that were included like the night guard and cleaning. They even washed our dirty clothes which was a total surprise to all of us, but much appreciated. The check in was easy enough, however, the road to get to the house was a bit treacherous - especially as it started pouring when we were within 30 minutes. At 2 different spots the road was literally completely under water and we basically had to drive through a creek. We were fortunate that a man with wadding boots just happened to be at the first spot and directed us across. So definitely recommend having 4 wheel drive if you are renting a car. The beach looked great for surfing, but the waves were a bit too much to try to snorkel.
