The Space

Casa Esmeralda is a modern two-bedroom home located just a 5-minute paved drive from Tamarindo and its beach. Nestled in a quiet area surrounded by nature and howler monkeys, this residence is part of a small, secure gated community. It features a private saltwater pool, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment.

The house sits behind and parallel to the main road, close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Surrounded by the Costa Rican jungle, it offers added security with nearby neighbors and is only 2 kilometers from Tamarindo’s center.

Inside, the home is tastefully decorated and spacious. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and direct views of the urban garden. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and a dedicated workspace, perfect for remote workers.

The open living area is bright and welcoming, featuring a fully equipped modern kitchen for cooking enthusiasts, a functional dining space, and a cozy living room with electric recliner chairs and a smart TV. Fiber optic internet ensures a reliable connection for those working remotely.

The backyard extends the living space and is fully fenced for privacy, making it perfect for families and friends. The patio offers seating and additional dining areas, complete with a BBQ set for grilling. There is also a covered seating area ideal for relaxing, reading, or catching up on work. The refreshing saltwater pool is perfect for cooling off on warm Costa Rican days.

The owners have thoughtfully provided beach essentials, including towels, chairs, a cooler, an umbrella, and travel mugs. The kitchen includes basic staples such as salt, pepper, oil, and spices. Additionally, two foldable twin cots are available to accommodate up to two extra guests.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire property, except for certain locked areas reserved for storage.

Other Things to Note

• Lost keys or remote controls will incur charges: $5 per lost key and $300 for a lost remote. Guests are encouraged to leave keys and remotes in the lockbox outside the gate when leaving the property to avoid loss.
• During drought seasons, scheduled water conservation may lead to occasional water shortages or unannounced shutoffs. Guests should notify the host if water issues seem unusual.
• Regular maintenance visits will occur to care for the grounds and pool.
• Being located in the jungle means some network carriers may have limited service; guests should plan accordingly.
• For stays of two weeks or less, basic cleaning supplies are provided. For longer stays, cleaning services are recommended at the guest’s expense. For stays of three weeks or more, biweekly cleaning is required, also at the guest’s cost.
