Guest Access

The intersection of Mal País and Santa Teresa is about a quarter mile from the property. Guests often rent a car (Alamo is available in Mal País), quad, take a taxi, or walk to nearby destinations.

Security

Santa Teresa is a wonderful community, but like many tourist areas, petty theft can occur. Thieves typically target cash and personal belongings. We recommend not leaving valuables unattended on the beach or inside vehicles. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings and ensuring doors are locked when leaving the property.

Internet and Electricity

As this is a jungle location, utility services can be unpredictable. Power, phone, and internet outages or interruptions may happen. Internet access cannot be guaranteed at all times. If reliable internet is essential, consider bringing an unlocked phone with a Kolbi SIM card or visiting local establishments that offer backup internet and electricity.

Please note that these issues are beyond our control, and no refunds or discounts will be provided for service interruptions. If you experience problems, contact us to determine if the issue is regional.

Water

Due to maintenance on public water lines, there may be temporary or scheduled water outages or low water pressure. We will do our best to inform guests of any planned interruptions. The home is equipped with a limited backup water supply for use during outages.

Jungle Creatures

While we strive to provide a clean home, the natural environment means you may encounter ants, beetles, spiders, and other insects year-round. Bugs are more active during the rainy season from May through November.

To minimize insect presence, please keep food wrapped or stored in sealed containers, refrigerate perishables, and maintain clean kitchen surfaces.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued for natural disasters, water outages, insect presence, internet interruptions, security incidents, personal property loss, or nearby construction noise. This area is rapidly developing, so construction nearby is possible.

Insurance

We recommend all guests purchase traveler insurance to cover unforeseen events, accidents, or circumstances that may prevent travel or fulfillment of rental terms.
