Lovely, comfortable apartment in the quiet residential neighborhood of San Pedro (1.5 miles east of San Jose). Ideal as a starting point for trips to explore nature beyond the city. Downtown attractions are only 1 to 6 miles away via quick Uber ride (typically $2 to $6). Close to Barrio Escalante (a food + art neighborhood), museums, supermarkets, shopping, University of Costa Rica, and 15 miles from SJO Airport. Fast and reliable 50 mbps internet, plus smart TV with cable & Netflix. The space Located in a residential area, the apartment offers 850 square feet with its own private entrance and an beautiful outdoor private terrace. There are two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and an open concept living/dining/cooking area. The neighborhood is quieter than downtown San Jose. Guest access The first bedroom has a queen bed and closet. The second bedroom has two single beds, a closet and a safe. Both rooms share a full bathroom with hot water. The first bedroom also has access to an outdoor terrace with a mural, plants, an outdoor table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dining table, wall mounted TV, and a sofa bed that could serve to host a fifth guest. A full size washer and dryer are also in the unit free of charge. Other things to note The apartment is on a second floor and you must climb stairs, not ideal for people with walking disabilities. It is not wheelchair accessible. The apartment has no garage, but it is possible to park on the street in front of the main entrance.

We enjoyed our stay at Pilar's place very much. The location was perfect to attend Ilisa Language School nearby, an easy 10 minute walk. The apartment was clean and cozy and had everything we needed (we cooked for ourselves most of the time). It was easy to walk to restaurants in San Pedro and Curritabat, and we used Uber to get to/from San Jose. We felt very safe and highly recommend this apartment for a stay in San Pedro. Pilar and her husband were very attentive and available for any questions!

En general, excelente lugar si deseas turistear san jose y llegar a descansar. Tiene las facilidades para cocinar y bañarte muy pulcras. Seguro en cuanto acceso y buen trato de los anfitriones.

Pilar y su familia, personas muy amables, siempre dispuestos a apoyar en tu viaje. Lugar súper céntrico y accesible a malls y restaurantes.

Lugar lindo ,acogedor, limpio con buena ventilación , ubicado además en buena zona con anfitriones muy especiales siempre al pendiente de cualquier inquietud no solo del apartamento sino también de recomendaciones sobre lugares donde ir o comer . Agradecida con Pilar y Gerardo por sus atenciones 🩷

Nice place to stay! Hosts are friendly and responsive. The surroundings are peaceful and is very close to some centric points in the capital. The apartment was very clean and in good conditions. It is recommended for one up to 3 persons.

llevo más de 10 años usando Airbnb y puedo decir que este ha Sido el mejor alojamiento en el que he estado. Nos sentimos tan bien, tranquilos, como en familia. Pilar siempre estuvo pendiente de lo que necesitamos, el lugar tenía todo lo que necesitamos incluso Pilar nos recibió con un plato de comida para mis hijas 😊 darle 5 estrellas es poco. gracias por todo Pilar.
