The house is only a 2 to 3-minute drive off the freeway, making it easier to reach than most other Escaleras rentals that require steep hill drives.
The turnoff to San Martín Sur has some incline and is mostly unpaved; therefore, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is necessary.
Most guests arrive via one of two routes:
- A 25-minute flight from San José on Sansa Airlines to Quepos, followed by a 45-minute drive.
- A scenic 3.25-hour coastal drive from San José with multiple ocean view stops.

Beautiful property, as advertised and more! Absolutely loved the property, especially the pool / patio, back deck and outdoor showers. Were welcomed with some fresh fruit and a beautiful flower arrangement. Beautiful surroundings and ocean view.....loved the sound of the ocean. Regularly heard howler monkeys and saw Toucans almost every day. Infrastructure can be a bit unstable at times as we lost water twice (dry season), but Robert and his team where very responsive as they worked with the water department to resolve the first incident within an hour and 2nd occurred evening before we left. Electricity flickered off a couple times as well, but never lost power. Seems fairly normal for Costa Rica. Robert, and his team provided great support and were extremely responsive. Extremely relaxing! We would definitely stay again!!

This place was gorgeous!! The view is to die for. The place looks like the photos. One of our bathrooms had a lot of bugs, but that's just the nature of the location. The location of the Airbnb was a bit difficult to get to. When providing a location to taxi drivers/transportation services, I had to give them coordinates because it wasn't easy to give an easily locatable location. I would recommend renting a car for convenience. There is a supermarket close by, and the beach is only an 8 min drive away. We had to use special taxi services if we needed a driver, so keep that in mind when booking. The host was amazing, and was extremely responsive. There was a neighborhood water outage, and he brought us gallons of water to get us through the night. Great place to relax!!

What a beautiful place to discover Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast! Our family loved the location, the views, the pool and the outdoor showers. The host was extremely helpful in booking excursions and dining reservations. We loved the afternoon Tucan visits in the beautiful tree by the pool. Truly a Pura Vida experience!

Absolutely beautiful airbnb, I will think about this view for a very long time. Toucans visited us every afternoon as we lounged by the pool. Hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, even helped us to schedule a snorkeling trip. You could not ask for a better host or location for your Costa Rican trip. My recommendation to any future guests is to arrive during the day and download Google maps. There is quite a climb to the airbnb, which is very easy in the light of day. But becomes more difficult if you are going there for the first time at night. I would recommend this airbnb to everyone and anyone who gets the chance. A secluded jungle home, beautiful home and views with easy access to the cutest town Uvita and Hermosa beach just 5 min away. Can’t wait to come back!

The short stay was worth it! The house was located private but still close to supermarkets and restaurant with an amazing view through the forest onto the ocean. Everything was well prepared and super clean! Luis was very friendly and helpful at anytime. From initial contact till checkout the communication was fast, friendly and on point by him.

A lovely place to stay! Quiet and nearby beautiful beaches and other activities. We loved the sounds of the jungle. We missed a dinnertable outside and some lights. Good to know is that the attic room is situated in the roof of the livingroom and has no door, curtains or own bathroom.

There are few AirBnbs we’ve stayed at that were as perfect as Casa Blanca. The seclusion, incredible vistas and breathtaking nature that surrounds the home are second to none. Then there is the home itself. Modern yet perfectly styled for Costa Rica. It is just stunning, opening up to a pool on one side and the jungle on the other. We spent our days and nights watching Toucans and other tropical birds, seeing a sloth and monkeys move in the trees, and catching glimpses of whales breaching in the ocean below. Luis was also incredibly responsive and provided great local recommendations. The home is close to great beaches and restaurants as well as an amazing bakery. The kids said “this is the best ever” taking over the loft and virtually living in the pool.
