The Space
Welcome to Casa Familia, a spacious beach house perfect for families seeking comfort and convenience. Located just a three-minute walk from West Bay Beach, beside the Henry Morgan Hotel, the property offers direct access to the beach.
This 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home includes a 3-bedroom main house and a separate 1-bedroom ground floor apartment. The entire residence spans approximately 3,000 square feet under one roof, featuring generous indoor and outdoor living areas.
The main house has three well-sized bedrooms upstairs, along with three bathrooms, a large kitchen and family room, and a wrap-around screened porch. The ground floor apartment offers a one-bedroom suite with its own kitchen and bathroom.
Outdoor amenities include a private pool, a covered palapa area, and a sundeck with over 1,000 square feet of deck space, comfortably seating 12 guests. Both indoor and outdoor dining tables are available.
The kitchen is fully equipped with most dishes, small appliances, and flatware, though seasonings and other consumables are not provided. High-quality linens, bath and beach towels, beach chairs, loungers, and coolers are supplied for guest use.
All bedrooms and common areas have individual air conditioning units, with seven units total, replaced between 2021 and 2022. Cable smart TV and Wi-Fi are available throughout the property.
Location
Casa Familia is situated on a quiet street that ends at a prime West Bay Beach access point. The beach is easily reachable within a 3-5 minute walk.
Guests can also rent a golf cart for added convenience to travel between the house and the beach within the local community. The golf cart cannot be used on the main road.

Golf Cart Rental
A golf cart is available on-site for rent with the following rates:
- 4-seater: $15 per day or $75 per week
- 6-seater: $20 per day or $100 per week
Please inquire about availability when booking. Payment is made at the property. Note that the golf cart is not included in the rental, and no replacement is guaranteed if it is not operational. Guests are responsible for any damage while using the cart.
Construction Notice
A guest house is being built at the front of the property from August 2nd to December 14th, 2025. Builders will be on-site from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be no construction activity affecting Casa Familia itself, but some noise may be noticeable.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire main house, the ground floor apartment, the pool area, palapa, pool deck, and laundry facilities.
Nearby Dining and Discounts
Casa Familia guests receive special discounts at Gula Restaurant, located next to the Henry Morgan Hotel, known for its Italian cuisine and excellent wine selection at reasonable prices. Reservations can be arranged through the property manager.
Additional discounts are available for Gula’s daily beach club pass.
Guests can also enjoy complimentary beach chairs at Beachers Restaurant with a food or drink purchase (a small charge applies Tuesday through Thursday).
Other Information
- Ample parking is available on the property. Guests with cars are asked to park at Casa Familia and avoid driving to the beach, as there is no public parking available there.
Activities and Tours
If you are interested in activities such as diving, catamaran tours, or other island excursions, please let us know. We have special arrangements and can assist with bookings.

My family had a great stay for sure. The place was large, had lots of amenities, and was a very short walk to the beach (4 mins normally). There are also two very friendly and well behaved cats on property which added to the experience. I would stay here again.

This was a great place to visit in West Bay, Roatán. The atmosphere was beautiful, relaxing, and exactly what you hope for when spending time near the beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything felt easygoing and enjoyable. The location was perfect, with gorgeous views and a peaceful island vibe. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting West Bay.

we absolutely loved our stay! we had two other families with us we stayed in the main house and the apartment was great for privacy when the other family wanted some down time. the other family stayed in the villa, it was nice it was so close yet secluded. the pool was fabulous!!! - we hung out there a lot on the hammock! beach towels and coolers being provided were clutch so we could pack lightly. everything was clean and stocked, sue ellen was always helpful and accommodating, everyone responded super quick to any questions we had. the golf cart was great for lugging kids and beach bags. we absolutely LOVED the private beach area with access to beach chairs and floating in the ocean. we will be back next year!!!!

It is true what they say, “the second time around is better than the first.”My husband and I were here last year and rented the one bedroom villa. This year we returned with the family and rented both the villa and the four bedroom house. The accommodations were on point. Anything we needed in the house was provided. Communication with the host was good. The highlight for the children was having 2 pools to enjoy. The beach, convenient stores, activities and restaurants all in walking distance. Our Roatan vacation was amazing! We will be back again.

This is a fantastic, clean, well appointed space super close to the beach. Golf cart super convenient to get things back and forth to the beach. Having the chairs available at the beach was lovely! The beds were super comfortable. Multiple outdoor sitting spaces and a pool! Perfect after a day at the beach. We didn't want to leave!

If you are coming to Roatan, stay in Casa Familia, you will not regret!! The house is wonderful, has tons of space, is in a great location with lots of restaurants around and convenience stores too!! Is like 3 minutes walk to the beach. Renee and the co-hosts, specially Marian that is locate here in roatan are beyond awesome. Marian is very attentive and responsive with anything you need.
