Our cute casita is situated in a large garden beside a river. You can listen to the birds and howler monkeys, relax in your hammock on the patio, and look at the Guanacaste trees in the garden. You can use the pickleball / basketball court on the property with a terrace and outdoor kitchen. You can walk to Marsella beach (10 min.) or Maderas beach (20 min.), where you have great surf. It is 10 min. to San Juan del Sur: you can already use the new road, the Costanera, that is being built. The space The casita is situated on a property of 4.000 m2 (one acre) where we, the hosts, live too. Plants are marking the borders of the houses, so we all have our privacy. The casita has it's own patio and garden. For safety, we have a fence, dogs, and metal bars in front of all the windows and doors. Nicaragua is very safe, but we do want to prevent break-ins. We hardly have neighbours, and there are lots of trees surrounding us. It is lovely and rural here. You can walk, cycle and drive around here, go to the beaches, it's very lovely. The casita has a large double bed, fan, fridge, stove, shower and toilet. Then there is a table with chairs and cupboard. Electricity and drinking water are included in the price. The water coming out of the tap is drinking water. You can use the washing machine for a small amount. Wifi is good. The dogs on the property are friendly. They walk around freely on and around the property. Please bring mosquito repellent or a travel mosquito net; there can be mosquitos especially during rainy season. There's a mini superkarket closeby, and also a nice cafe (Machete). Guest access You have access to the casita, the patio on the back side of the casita, and your private garden, bordering on the patio of the casita, all the way up to the main gate. Other things to note Directions: Search for Bar Rosy on Google Maps. Directly after Bar Rosy: you turn left on the Costanera new road. Before the bridge, you have to go down a steep small road: to the yellow gate. Before the bridge you see the yellow casita.

The location was great, nearby many beautiful beaches. Spacious enough for two people and the dogs on the property were adorable. Lots of kitchen supplies. However, the bathroom was very different from the pictures. There was no mirror and it was slightly dirty. There were a lot of bugs within the room, although I know that is not the fault of the host. It gets VERY hot at night with no AC, but the fans help a bit. The kitchen utensils were unclean. there is a basketball court but the ball was flat. The whole outdoor kitchen area was totally unusable, even though there is a pizza oven advertised. The price for what we got was okay, but i think it could have been a lot more cleanly.

Casita super charmante, bien équipée et très bien située. À quelques minutes à pied de plusieurs plages et d’une petite supérette. Nous n’avions pas de véhicule mais tout se fait très bien à pied. Hôte très réactive. Nous recommandons sans hésiter :)

If you want to stay in a legit little jungle paradise away from all the rumble of San Juan del sur, this is it! Howler monkeys right above you, a little walk to the amazing playa Maderas and a lovely host.

We loved our stay! You definitely would need a car or bike to stay here but we rented a scooter for our entire time so it was perfect. We loved being outside of town and with the new highway it’s only a 5 min drive to playa Marsella and playa maderas which we loved! Kenia who helped us with our stay was absolutely wonderful and so kind! I accidentally lost the keys and she was extremely helpful and kind with the situation. The dogs are so sweet and fun to come home to every time :) we are deep sleepers and they never woke us up! It would be nice in the future to put up a mosquito net, bring your bug spray! I got especially bit at night when I got into bed. Overall enjoyed the stay :)

Great little spot in the forest, with limited pots & pans. Our challenges were barking dogs deep into the night, and now that the new highway is in, traffic noise (industrial & consumer) was evident throughout the night. The internet & power went out several times. We understand that power & noise are not under the control of the host, but it affected our satisfion with our stay. The host was very responsive and helped as much as they could.
