Fantastic experience. Great wifi that worked well considering we were working from home. In terms of the house, the views are breathtaking, we will be returning just for the view undoubtedly. This place is paradise. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean and whale beach is 1 of my favorite places we’ve ever stayed.

Hermosa Retreat is exactly that…a beautiful retreat. It is peaceful and private with breathtaking views of the ocean, especially at sunset. Every morning I jumped out of bed as the sun started to rise to listen to the sounds unique to a Costa Rican morning. Our group booked a couple of excursions and a private chef through the concierge service and each experience was top notch! 100% recommend Hermosa Retreat.

Our group of 3 couples just returned home after a great vacation to Costa Rica. We spent 7 nights at this beautiful home. The view is absolutely spectacular, we all just enjoyed sitting around the pool and gazing at the beauty. We did have a couple small hiccups, the power went out one morning and we had to contact Jerome to help get the generator running due to one fuel tank being empty. Also the TV has no cable/satellite service so it is only for streaming which we spent a few hours trying to figure out the TV with the info provided to find that out from Jerome. It was Super Bowl so we did end up going into Uvita to watch that. Otherwise—the beds were comfy, the pool was great to come home to after our days out exploring the area. We used the concierge to book our excursions which were great! We did zip lining, waterfalls, Manuel Antonio park(get a guide). We grilled & used the well equipped kitchen for some meals. Jerome was very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend!!

Fabulous place to stay in Uvita! We were 3 couples traveling and the house is set up perfectly for that! The pool is amazing and warm enough to swim in day or night. You can hear the Howler Monkeys early morning and the waves crashing from the terrace. The setting is gorgeous with beautiful flowers abundant. Beds are super comfortable, great water pressure in the shower. Kitchen is nicely equipped and the laundry is a big bonus. Highly recommend this beautiful house!

The house is amazing and a true indoor/outdoor living experience. We loved coming home to the pool and incredible sunsets every afternoon. The space was perfect for 3 couples with plenty of shared and private space. Jerome was extremely helpful in planning our week by providing restaurant suggestions, arranging the rental car and booking the chefs one night (the food was excellent!). We had a few hiccups (air conditioning not working right, broken coffee maker, alarm malfunction) which Jerome responded to quickly. We were never able to get the SkyTV to work (which normally wouldn't matter but we wanted to watch football bowl games). We travelled during the holidays so the price was high which is to be expected. Overall we loved our stay and week in Uvita. One note--although you don't need a 4x4 to get to the house, it is very necessary for the overall area and getting to some of the better known restaurants such as Scala and Rancho Cielo Alto. Thank you for a great family vacation!

Beautiful facilities and the setting and view are perfection. Parrots, toucans and monkeys all paid a visit.

This house was everything we hoped it would be & MORE!!! The view is a million dollar one.. hands down! The layout of the house was perfect! Space was clean. We could've used a few more rolls of toilet paper and trash bags but for the most part we were good or they worked quickly to accommodate. Towels are limited, especially if you have 6 people. The chef and massage therapist were fantastic!! Would be nice if a printed manual was left at the house instead of having to resort back to the listing for details. Do not put any paper in the toilet! Says paper towels but they mean any paper. This seems to be pretty customary in Costa Rica. We will definitely be back to this house! It was absolutely beautiful! I do recommend catching the plane ride over from SJO to Quepos as the trek is pretty long. Go with this accommodation, you will be so glad you did!
