An AirBnB experience unlike any in Tamarindo! Treehouse Hideaway features an open-air living room, and a rooftop deck with a pergola that is perfect for taking in dazzling sunsets & seasonal ocean views. In the evening you will be enchanted by the peaceful sounds of the jungle. If you visit during the rainy season June-October, you will be mesmerized by the sounds of rain in the trees and will likely see monkeys swinging in the trees! All bedrooms & kitchen can be enclosed & do have A/C. The space Less than 2km/5 minute car ride from the beach and Tamarindo's vibrant restaurant and retail center, this one-of-a-kind home, is sure to deliver some OMG's (yes monkeys do often swing from the trees behind the pool) and create a memorable experience! The property is truly a hideaway, as the house is barely visible as it is tucked approximately 5 meters below the grade of the private drive that dead ends at the house/edge of the jungle - as illustrated in the last picture. To enter the house, you descend 15 steps and open the front gate which opens to the open-air living room and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, and is able to be enclosed and air conditioned by sliding the glass panel doors together. The three bedrooms are also air-conditioned. The master bedroom with ensuite is on this level, just off of the living room. To reach the other two bedrooms on the walkout lower/pool level, you will descend the spiral staircase pictured. Each bedroom is furnished with high end bedding, deluxe king-sized mattresses, and features custom-built Costa Rican furniture. Not to be missed is the large West-facing rooftop living area and pergola. From where you park your car, you will see a set of 4 stairs that lead onto the roof. Follow the roof around a corner and you will see the pergola, and during some times of the year, get partial views of the ocean. Come experience the best of both worlds - Serenity located just minutes from vibrancy. Please note: Insects are more active during the rainy season which is usually June-October. You will encounter some in the open-air living area. However, roller screens have been added in July 2025 which effectively give guests the option to keep bugs out of the open air living space! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, except one cabinet that is locked for supplies. Other things to note **You are in the middle of the jungle in an open-air living room. Please leave food well packaged and in the fridge to keep bugs out! **On occasion especially during drought season, the area experiences scheduled water conservation periods, where guests may experience some water shortage and in severe circumstances unannounced water shut offs. This property does have large water reservoir tanks, so the interruption should be minimal. If, however, you feel it is out of the ordinary, please let us know so that we can assess it. **Please note a maintenance person will occasionally be there to maintain the grounds and the pool - twice a week. **Also, due to the location certain network carriers may not work, so please plan accordingly. Please be sure to have downloaded any check-in instructions and maps that you may require. (The WiFi at the house is fiber optic so that is fantastic.) **Finally, the backroads of Tamarindo can be quite bumpy. SUVs or cars with similar clearance will make the travel a bit easier. This house, however is off of one of the few paved back roads in Tamarindo - newly paved in 2023.
