It was a wonderful stay at Pachamamas. Hannah spread the PuraVida-Vibe right from the beginning and was a very charming host. She was very helpful with booking some activities, which all were perfectly organized, and left no wish unfulfilled. Also our children (5 and 8) had a great time in the stunning garden areal. There was a very laid back atmosphere and we enjoyed our little house with the outside shower and dining area very much. We have to recommend a yoga class with Sophie as well. If you stay at this nice place be sure to have a 4/4 drive to get to some of the beaches or short way to Montezuma and the Cabo Blanco national park.

I loved my stay at Pachamama so much, I decided to stay for an extra week. I stayed at the Tropical Garden House for seven weeks total and would highly recommend it. It was safe and peaceful, in a very natural setting, surrounded by all of the natural Costa Rican wildlife! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Others staying at the property were quiet and respectful. I loved the feeling of becoming part of the "Pachamama Family" while staying here. Thank you Hannah for an amazing experience!!

Hannah and the staff are lovely! I wasn’t there very much, but when I was I found it very rustic. No hot water, WiFi cut in and out quite a bit. Not ideal for remote working but could be great for other cases! Lovely lovely people and the premises is lovely as well

Pachamama is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed on vacation. The staff were accommodating, warm, and kind. The internet worked very well. And with Mal Pais beach right down the road, it’s hard to argue for staying anywhere else. I highly recommend this place.

The Jungle House is a great place to stay in Mal Pais, quiet, close to surfing and fishing, and the patio with grill pit is a great place to chill and entertain friends.

This house is situated on a property with other small bungalows/rooms, but it still feels quite private. Surrounded by so many beautiful plants and across the street from the beach, the location is great. Note that it’s a long walk to most restaurants etc, so we generally drove. We enjoyed being a bit removed from the chaotic streets of Santa Teresa. The accommodations were a bit more rustic than we were expecting for the price, but we still loved every minute of it!

Pachamama is a fantastic spot. Beautiful, tucked into the overgrown jungle, with wildlife and friendly people. Even still, it was still quiet and easy to relax, go to sleep early, etc. Just about a 5 minute drive from playa Carmen and the restaurants, cafes, and beach clubs, it was just close enough to be convenient without being affected by the busyness of the area. Definitely recommend, and definitely will be coming back!

Philipa and her staff were wonderful to deal with, and responded promptly if something needed attention. Pachamama is away from the center of the bustle in St. Teresa, but close enough for runs to the grocery stores (of which there are many), ATM, etc. In general I felt safe here going for jogs in the early morning. Beach access is about a five minute walk. Coastal scenery is stunning, especially sunsets since Mal Pais beaches faces West. We were there mid-Dec. to early Jan and aside from one or two rain storms, had predictably wonderful sunsets from the beach on a daily basis. If you want to rent a quad, you'll get cheaper rates reserving ahead of time. We rented quads and went over the hills to the waterfalls at Montezuma, where you can swim in the plunge pools, and to Cabo Blanco nature preserve for hiking. This is the tropics, so expect humidity. There are many good restaurants, and you can actually walk along the beach to Playa Carmen Restaurant right by the beach at the South end of St. Teresa in 15 minutes (if you don't get distracted by monkeys and iguanas).
