Overview

Casa Azul is a luxurious and private retreat located in the Central Pacific region, offering spectacular ocean views. Situated on the edge of Carara National Park, this newly built home is surrounded by dense jungle, providing an immersive natural experience. Perched 1,200 feet above the Central Pacific Coast, guests can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean and may even spot Scarlet Macaws and Toucans flying overhead.

The Space

• 3 bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests

Main Floor

• Two elegantly furnished bedrooms with queen-sized beds and stunning views

• Walk-around balcony providing enhanced views of the natural surroundings
• Fully equipped kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, including an automatic dishwasher
• Washer and dryer for guest use
• Open dining and living areas with panoramic views of the pool and outdoors

Upper Floor

• Master bedroom serving as a private sanctuary

• Two balconies: one overlooking the ocean and the other showcasing mountain views

Location and Accessibility

Despite its secluded setting, Casa Azul is conveniently located:

• 90 minutes from San Jose International Airport
• 25 minutes from Herradura’s Auto Mercado, a well-stocked grocery store

Guests are encouraged to rent a vehicle or use trusted transportation services to explore the area freely. While the access road is paved, a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for navigating steep mountain roads and unpaved areas. The community speed limit is 10 mph due to curvy and steep roads. Note that Uber is not available locally, so transportation bookings should be made well in advance.

Guest Access and Additional Information

• Pool maintenance occurs every Wednesday morning
• Ongoing construction nearby may cause occasional noise and obstruct views
• Parking available for up to 3 vehicles
• Housekeeping services can be arranged for an additional fee
• Lockbox code will be provided the day before arrival
• Hosts are available by phone or message for guest support
• Check-in time is 3:00 pm; check-out is 11:00 am (early check-in and late check-out are not available)
• The Jacuzzi does not have heating
• Power outages or interruptions to internet and cable TV may occur occasionally due to external factors; refunds will not be issued for such events

• Loud music, parties, or gatherings exceeding the permitted number of guests are not allowed
