The Space
Casa Carmelo is situated on 220 acres of private, gated, and pristine jungle, offering exclusive privacy and tranquility. Located within the Volcán Mombacho Nature Preserve, the property is safeguarded against future development. This luxurious home features European-style architecture combined with American construction techniques and local materials. Perched at 1,666 feet above the historic colonial city of Granada, it benefits from constant cool breezes coming off Lake Nicaragua.
The home includes three bedrooms and offers access to hiking trails, as well as opportunities to observe exotic wildlife such as birds, sloths, and howler monkeys.
The property provides some of the most spectacular views imaginable. The entire north side consists of glass doors that stack open on both sides, allowing the house to merge seamlessly with the surrounding environment. This design is present in both master suites and the main living and dining areas, creating an open atmosphere that invites in the sounds and breezes of the jungle without obstruction.
With no neighbors nearby, guests can enjoy complete privacy and freedom. The house is outfitted with numerous amenities, including:
- A Fender guitar
- A dedicated office space
- High-speed internet
- A Jacuzzi
- An optional guest house
For convenience, a truck is available for rent. Pets are also welcome, making it an ideal base for exploring the area and enjoying outdoor adventures.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the charming three-bedroom main house. Additionally, there is an optional one-bedroom guest house available for an extra fee, located near the main driveway.
The property provides ample parking, including a garage. The home comes fully stocked with:

Other Things to Note
One important consideration when renting this property is the access road from Granada. The road is steep and rocky, requiring a vehicle with good ground clearance. Four-wheel drive is recommended.
A suitable SUV, a Nissan Patrol, is available for rent at $60 per day. For further details or to discuss the rental agreement, you can call or text the host. Transportation can also be arranged to pick you up from the airport or Granada if you do not have a suitable vehicle.

This is a truly special place! The house is beautiful with lots of locally made Nicaraguan furniture and art work. The house was also very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. There is even hot water in the shower. The outside grill was an added bonus and I loved cooking outside by the patio. The views both inside and outside are stunning. The walls at the back of the house are glass so we were able to wake up to the view. The house is extremely private and there are no other properties around. It’s very much a relaxing, getaway retreat. Max was very kind, helpful and responsive. Lesther met us at the house to let us in and give us walk through. He was great! Make sure you have a vehicle with clearance to get up to the house from the main road because the road is extremely rough. It’s about 20 more minutes off the main road. Once again, a beautiful home with amazing views. We would definitely come back here and hope to again!

Я поставил 5 балов потому что для нас самое главное это тишина, приватность и удаленность от шума города. Это жилье соответствует этим критериям. Добираться первый раз не просто, но можно, хозяин рекомендует 4х4 транспорт, хотя по факту подойдет любой паркетник 2х4. С машинами в Никарагуа в целом не просто, поэтому найти доступный и удобный вариант транспорта не легко. Я рекомендую при бронировании здесь иметь транспорт, иначе такси почти невозможно будет использовать. Если я буду еще в Никарагуа я обязательно вернусь на это место, персонал хозяин был очень заботлив и инициативный, хотя иногда случаются разные казусные ситуации, но вы понимайте что вы живете в джунглях, и поэтому может случится все что угодно с водой или светом. При это владельцы стараются на 100% все устранять очень быстро, мы благодарны им и этому дому! Впечатления от хозяина очень приятные.

Disfrutamos de un atardecer espectacular con una hermosa vista panorámica. El alojamiento es muy cómodo, acogedor, seguro y sobretodo con una de las mejores vistas hacia la cuidad de Granada y el gran lago.

Would stay there again just to have the experience all over again. Just make sure to have the map before you go and a truck instead of a small car.

Max and Lesther are high quality people. Their deep humanity stands out and is reflected in the home and hospitality. Many have beautiful homes, but not everyone is thoughtful, kind, and compassionate and expresses that through their words and actions. I would recommend their space over and over for these reasons especially. If you want a peaceful, beautiful, nature-admiring getaway reflective of people with heart and integrity, this is it.

The house is unique, the view is priceless. It's a perfect spot to enjoy nature and take a brake from the noise. Just love it.
