The Space
One of the standout features of this property is private access to Ballena Beach, a pristine 3-mile stretch bordered by jungle and offering stunning views of the Tres Hermanas and Ballena rock formations. Guests often enjoy the beach’s tranquility, frequently encountering only a few other visitors.
Located between Uvita and Ojochal in Costa Rica’s Southern Pacific region, the villa is approximately a 3-hour drive from San Jose Airport. You can walk or drive just two minutes to your private entrance to Ballena National Marine Park Beach.
The main house includes:
- 3 bedrooms, each air-conditioned with full ocean views framing the Tres Hermanas rock formation
- Indoor/outdoor rain showers in all master bedrooms
- Open-concept living areas designed for indoor/outdoor Costa Rican living with retractable doors to catch the ocean breeze
- A fully equipped modern gourmet kitchen with retractable glass windows serving the covered outdoor dining deck
- A propane grill with all necessary equipment for high-quality grilling
- Two living rooms: one indoor with a large TV and one outdoor seating area for relaxation and conversation
Adding the casita for $100 per night provides:
- 1 additional bedroom with a king-size bed
- A private plunge pool
- A kitchenette
- An outdoor shower
Please note the casita is only available when rented together with the main house.
The villa is situated at the end of a driveway within a gated community of only five homes, offering privacy and security. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the attentive management team, Cynthia and Karol, who are invaluable resources for local recommendations and assistance.
Important: This home is not recommended for children under 3 years old.

- For stays of 7 nights or more, airport transfers are discounted by 50%:
- $270 for 1-5 guests
- $310 for 6-9 guests
- Assistance arranging rental cars with free delivery to the villa upon request
Outdoor Living and Relaxation
Relax on comfortable pool deck chairs or chaise lounges by the infinity pool, enjoying a refreshing drink as you take in the jungle sounds. The palapa features a round swing bed where you can gently sway with the breeze and unwind.
The Beach
Hidden behind the jungle’s tree line is your exclusive gated access to Ballena National Marine Park Beach. A short walk from the creek water's edge leads you to this expansive 3-mile beach, perfect for peaceful strolls, boogie boarding, sunbathing, and watching spectacular sunsets.
The beach is rarely crowded, providing a serene and private atmosphere. Beach amenities include:

Location and Access
La Experiencia CR is located in Costa Rica’s Southern Zone, about a 3.5-hour drive from San Jose Airport and 45 minutes south of Quepos Airport. The villa is easily accessible via the Costanera Highway, just a one-minute drive from the main road.
Please note that many roads in Costa Rica are unpaved, so a four-wheel-drive vehicle is essential for reaching the property and getting around. For convenience, private airport transfers and rental car delivery to the villa can be arranged in advance.
Guest Access and Security
Approved guests have full access to the property. Entry is secured with electronic door locks and gate codes for the community and beach access. A 4x4 vehicle is required for access.

Book it! What a beautiful house and a breathtaking view! Cynthia was attentive, responsive, and helpful when it came to suggesting restaurants or excursions. Excellent bird watching from the pool side - pack your binoculars!! House was gated, which made us feel safe. Appliances all worked well - I LOVED cooking in this kitchen! Chef Kevin also came and cooked us a delicious meal. Other tips: buy your booze at DutyFree at the airport. BM Grocery store is a short drive. Favorite restaurant: La Parcela (breathtaking views and monkeys!!).

What a wonderful place to stay and vacation! The home is perfectly located and has the most stunning views! The home was stocked with everything we would need to make us comfortable for the week, and our hosts were so gracious and kind! The home was clean and exceeded our expectations!

This was our first time in Costa Rica. The property is breathtaking, incredibly private and has everything you could possibly need. The maid service every other day was superb. We booked the chef for dinner the night we arrived and were so glad we did. We arrived to find the power out amidst a downpour and Cynthia was there to greet us and help us get settled. The chef was still able to prepare a sumptuous meal (we had beef tenderloin and mahi mahi) even with the power out. The food was incredible! Cynthia came back the next day to go over everything we needed to know and answer all of our questions. The dinner recommendations were amazing. We ate at Citrus, La Parcela, and Los Laurelas (best fish tacos!). We cooked several dinners there on our own. We chose to rent a car and it was ready and waiting for us at the house - a great service. They came to pick it up when we were done. I can’t say enough about this location. For reference - we were in the 59-63 yearage brack

Incredible stay! Easy to get to and the beach is so close and private. We loved all the aspects of the house and property. A true Gem!! The hosts are amazing and so helpful! We had a chef come for many meals and the house was a perfect set up for the great meals! The sunsets from the back porch were breathtaking!

What a beautiful home. The view took our breath away. The common areas were well appointed and comfortable, and each bedroom was very private and separated from the other bedrooms. We rented the casita as well. Only issue is the access road and driveway which are challenging to drive on, but that’s to be expected in CR. We would definitely stay here again. The sunsets while lounging in the infinity pool were spectacular and we tried to be back from our excursions for every single one!

We stayed in Cynthia’s place for a family trip to Costa Rica with our grownup sons (+25y) and girlfriends during NYE week. Location is fantastic, the view and peaceful surroundings allowed us to enjoy our time together totally relaxed and unstressed. There are so many nearby activities to choose from I can’t imagine someone getting bored. Hikes, National Parks, beaches, surfing, restaurants and best of all the house with a beautiful pool, barbecue and terraces. The rooms all suites with great views and the living room are spacious and very comfortable. Also recommend the chef Kevin. Excellent.

I LOVED this house! This word is often overused but when you walk in, it is truly breathtaking. The entire house and all of the bedrooms have an amazing view of the ocean with fabulous sunsets. I love the indoor/outdoor shower, it really adds to the experience. The beds are amazing and the bedrooms stay extra cool for a great nights sleep. The drive to the place was super easy compared to other places in Uvita. Cynthia is a great host and I always choose one of her homes when traveling to Uvita because they are all fabulous.

El lugar fue espectacular, no le hacen justicia las fotografías. El hecho de que se cuente con acceso a la playa, vale totalmente la pena el precio que se paga, Anfitrión receptivo. Lamentablemente viaje en temporada de lluvia, En repetidas ocasiones se fue la energía eléctrica, es algo que tienen que tomar en cuenta al parecer es algo que sucede con regularidad en la zona. Sin embargo nada es atribuible al alojamiento más bien es la zona e infraestructura. Sin duda volvería,
