Nosara Sunrise Bed and Breakfast

el cuarto estaba limpio y amplio. tienen desayuno. cuando yo fui, se fue la luz 3 dias consecutivos en la noche que es cuando esta la gente en el hotel. decia que era problema del ICE pero claramente era un problema interno ya que solo unos cuartos se apagaban. No tienen television, el camino hacia el hotel no esta nada bien. Habian 3 pantanos que cruzar. con un sedan sera dificil llegar. en conclusion, el lugar bonito para dormir pero no es un lugar adecuado para disfrutar las amenidades

This lodge is located on an amazing site, with stunning views, surrounded by howler monkeys and with very helpful and friendly staff. Nevertheless, we had several disapointments during our stay. First of all, the location on Airbnb was incorrect and led us to a police office in a nearby village. Second, the room was not clean and full of dust and fungus. It seemed as if there had been a leakage which was fixed quickly before our stay. Especially the bath tub looked a bit dirty and not recently cleaned. Third, the lodge was under some kind of renovation, which was not mentioned to us before our stay and caused a smell of paint in our room. Furthermore, there were no extras provided (for example: no soap for the bath tub, no flowers as showed on the images, no drinks/food, no glasses in the room). The restaurant/bar was only open for the breakfast (which was great)). We thought that Nosara was overcrowded with loud Americans (driving on squads and golf cars) and even the shops/restaurants were facilitated by american owners. There was no real local vibe left unfortunately, which we found a bit disappointing. The roads surrounding Nosara are full of holes and at some points we had to return due to high rivers blocking the roads (between Samara and Nosara and also between Nosara and Ostional). Be sure that you have a appropriate SUV with 4wd and ask locals the help you find the right road. In conclusion, the place has all it needs the be an amazing holiday spot and the staff is really great, but we feeled like we arrived at the wrong time (especially since all other reviews were so great). Hope you will have a different experience!
