Villa Amethyst | Luxury 4BR Beachfront Villa

This was literally the best place we could have picked ! Cindy, Star and Roberto were great!!! Roberto was so helpful with all the tours ! We were able to schedule a chef to come to the house Maria did not disappoint ! Shaggy and portofino were great places to eat! When we showed up they also accommodated a golf cart and shuffle service ! They literally took care of everything for us ! No need to reach out to outside tour guides they can coordinate it all for you! There is a small smoothie and food place down the street called Estela’s deli and fruits it was walking distance that was also really good !!! Right before portofinos . I truly wouldn’t recommend any other place . Safe . Peaceful . And beautiful . Every morning I woke up and sat by the water to watch the sunset. If you want to make your Belize trip amazing book this place ! We stayed in the RUBY. She was stunning !!!!

Great house for groups with 3 bedrooms and 4 private baths. Beautiful property and pool - very relaxing. The property manager, Star, was very helpful and responsive and staff very friendly. The 4th bedroom is the ground level floor - a great place for kids but not a private room (no door, but an open stairway down to the lower level). A ways to San Pedro (the man town) but we liked being away from the crowd and the island was easily accessible by golf cart, which was important to get around. Tour options from onsite. Nice to have a kitchen since it’s a drive (or longer walk) to restaurants (note that groceries are limited and expensive on the island). There’s lots of sand and the ocean is right there, but it’s not a beach that you walk into the water due to the reef and sea grass. The sea kayaks available on property are a good bonus!

We absolutely loved La Perla, it was peaceful, beautiful, luxurious & spacious for our group of 10. The staff was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend!

We just returned from La Perla after a one week graduation girls’ trip with my two friends, my two daughters, plus five of their friends (all 18 -21 year olds). Everyone loved the caribbean vibe of the property and Villa Amethyst!!!! The entire staff was THE BEST … Very attentive and responsive day and night. Their recommendations for transportation, golf cart rentals, and excursions were all excellent. The property is further north so it’s typically a 20-30 min golf cart ride to most places, but we didn’t mind at all. The mosquitos were a huge nuisance but it’s their rainy season so we worked through it!! We brought all the recommended brands of bug repellent, but talk to the locals … They’re a wealth of knowledge!!!! It was an AMAZING vacation … My youngest and her BFF were already wanting to plan a return trip to La Perla for Lobster Fest next year, on the plane ride home!!!

We could not have asked for a better week. The villa is situated a ways north from the city but that’s actually where you want to be. It’s much more peaceful, there is beautiful snorkeling five minutes away. The villas was everything it was advertised and more. Everything is easily accessible via golf cart. Thank you La Perla! We look forward to coming back.

We spent the week here with our married kids and grandbaby. Cindy and Star were so amazing to work with. Cindy met us our first night and walked us around even though we didn’t get in until that night. We had help at 4:30 am with our luggage the morning we left which I felt like was above and beyond. The home was beautiful. The resort was amazing. The pool was great. The restaurant recommendations were spot on. I would recommend this for anyone. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable

The views and proximity to the ocean was perfect. However, there were lots of loud road traffic noise that could be heard from the house very early in the morning, so hard to sleep in. Otherwise noise in the evening was non-existent.

Although it is a bit of a bouncy golf-cart drive to reach La Perla, it is worth the trip, provided you don't need to or want to drive back into San Pedro very often. Nice restaurants nearby within walking distance and/or cart. Mexican Rocks reef location is less than a mile from the resort - easy boat ride and wonderful snorkeling with rays, nurse sharks, etc. Star and the rest of the staff were super friendly and responsive. The only downside was the noisy truck traffic (hauling gravel) right outside our windows starting at 6:00 am. I don't know if that is a common occurrence, or just bad timing on our part.

We had a great stay at La Perla Del Caribe. The villa was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and were very quick to handle any concerns or questions we had. The area is very nice. About a 25 minute golf cart ride into San Pedro. The pool was nice as well as the beach. Mambo and Portofino restaurant were close by and were really good.
