Overview
Montecristo is a private gated community located in Los Cabos, Mexico. Perched dramatically on the mountainside, it offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features an exclusive Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is beautifully landscaped and maintained, with access to a stunning clubhouse.
Situated at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful enclave provides both privacy and luxury.
The Space
Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in a unique and spectacular environment. Each villa serves as a home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:
- Private infinity pool
- Indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi
- Spacious terraces
- Central family room
- Reading areas
- Walk-in closets
Please note that the listings are not tied to a specific villa, but all villas share the same amenities and layouts. Each villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. Views vary between villas, and while the view may not exactly match the photos, it will be similar. Villa locations cannot be requested, and properties are managed across both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.
Prices are based on the number of guests. It is important to book for the correct number of guests. If additional guests arrive beyond the reservation, the extra person fee doubles if reported during or after check-in. If uncertain about the final guest count, additional guests can be added before arrival at the original extra guest fee, provided this is done at least a few days prior to avoid increased charges.
Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.

Environmental Sanitation Tax
The municipality of Los Cabos has implemented an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward.
- Fee: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rate)
- Charged at check-out in addition to the rent
- Funds are allocated to environmental infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, safety, and security projects
COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Quivira Vacation Rentals has established comprehensive measures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, following recommendations from a global hotel consulting leader.
Cleanliness Standards
- Hand sanitizing stations placed throughout resorts, including front desks and restaurant entrances
- Use of certified sanitization products focusing on high-touch surfaces
- Periodic deep cleaning by certified third parties before reopening and regularly thereafter
Upon Arrival
- External suitcase sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices
- Guest sanitization cabin and infrared temperature checks; guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) may be denied entry after medical evaluation
- Mobile pre-check-in available
Room Amenities
- Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided in rooms; masks and gloves available upon request
- Removal of paper amenities, pens, and magazines (available on request)
Social Distancing and Hygiene
- Elevator capacity limited to 2 persons, except family members

Important Notes
- Outside services such as private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.
- Basic kitchen staples like salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, and sugar are not provided.
- Any additional guests added after the initial booking will incur an extra fee. All guests must be registered, and applicable fees paid.
- Extra guest fee: $50 USD per night per person if added before arrival
- Fee doubles to $100 USD per night per person if added during or after check-in
Villa Assignment and Check-In
Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit nature of the property and scheduling of arrivals and departures. Early check-in cannot be guaranteed but may be possible depending on availability. The standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m.
Guests arriving early are welcome to use the clubhouse facilities while waiting. The team can store luggage and groceries until the villa is ready.
Experience
This property operates as a vacation rental, which differs from timeshare or hotel bookings made through the resorts. Some amenities included with the resorts may not be available with this rental. The amenities provided align with industry standards for vacation rentals and recommendations from platforms like Airbnb.
