This accomodation was so unique. It was open air except for the two bedrooms/bathrooms. They were air conditioned. We loved the private spa and used it often becuase it was raining. The grounds are my favorite part of this stay. It's like you are staying in the jungle, and you are! We would definately come back. The staff was top knotch kind and helpful. The only negative was our communication with Pablo. Twice I asked questions/recommendations about the unit as well as tours and such and did not receive a response. I only received the stock response upon check in and move out until the day before we arrived and we messaged to give an arrival time and he responded.

We had a lovely stay at Casa del Rio! The property feels very safe and is close enough to all the main attractions. We’re a family of four, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle was such a fun experience. From our room we saw many birds, monkeys, frogs, fish, and more. The jacuzzi worked perfectly, and we enjoyed it every night. We also treated ourselves to a massage at the facility and dined at the restaurant both were great experiences. Highly recommended!

Lamentablemente nuestra experiencia fue muy negativa. Pagamos el monto total que Airbnb nos indicó al momento de hacer la reserva y en ningún momento se nos informó que debíamos cancelar un pago adicional al llegar. Cuando llegamos al lugar, nos indicó que lo pagado era solo un “enganche” y que debíamos pagar un monto extra, lo cual nunca fue comunicado previamente. Explicamos que ese era un error ajeno a nosotros y que simplemente cumplimos con el precio publicado en la plataforma. No nos entregaron la habitación, por lo que tuvimos que retirarnos sin poder aplicar de la reserva. Consideramos que es responsabilidad del anfitrión respetar el precio publicado y asumir cualquier error en su sistema de cobro. No iría ni lo recomendaría a alguien más.

Amazing place ! It exceeded all of our expectations! The sounds at night were magical! Slept so good! So fun to cook and hot tub outside. Would definitely stay here again. Great for our family and kids.

We had a wonderful time at the Remanso Villa! The sound of the river, the surrounding rainforest, and the pond all contributed to a very relaxing atmosphere. Everyone on the property was friendly and attentive, and the location was very close to the zip lines and ATVs. The restaurant on the grounds offered a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano!

Casa del rio had incredible grounds. The landscaping was impeccable and we were thrilled with the vibe of the place. We had the last villa near the river and the river was insanely loud. Great for white noise while sleeping, but bad for conversation. The only downsides to the place were the living room is “outside”. Not terrible, interesting. No tv in the living room. No way to play music. The tv is the bedrooms was horrible audio.

Amazing place to stay in La fortuna. Beautiful grounds, pools and restaurant. Hostess at check in was so kind and helpful. The guys at the restaurant were great, and the food delicious. The rope swing is just around the corner and downtown is also walkable. Loved staying in this hotel it was a dream.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Pablo’s place to celebrate my birthday. It is a beautiful peaceful resort surrounded by the rainforest and rushing river. Maria and Darren at the Reception desk were friendly, courteous and responsive and catered to our needs. We enjoyed hiking the arenal volcano lava trails and mystical hanging bridges nearby, saw a mommy and baby sloth during our sloth tour and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Breakfast at the resort was also a nice amenity and convenient. We brought our laundry to a place nearby in town to wash and dry as there are no laundry facilities on site.

Wow! We were super surprised when we arrived to find a beautifully landscaped boutique hotel in a gated area. The staff were super welcoming and helpful providing a group text message for assistance, golf cart rides for luggage and they even helped transport us when it was raining. The restaurant was great with a huge breakfast included and the wait staff were so nice to our kids, even entertaining them with bar tricks! The rooms were as pictured but even bigger than I expected with more bathrooms and the private jacuzzi was a super nice bonus. Our kids LOVED the water slide and the fish in the pond by our room. We wished we would have stayed longer but would definitely come back here again! You don’t even need to leave the compound, it’s really very luxurious. The river and animals are loud at night so if you are a light sleeper that may keep you up but it was very peaceful and serene being that close to nature. 10/10!

You felt like you were in the staying in the Rainforest yet so close to the amenities of La Fortuna. Would highly recommend this property.
