The Space

Relax with your entire family at this tranquil retreat, just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Playa Pelada. Casa Memphis is situated on a quiet street at the little-known northern entrance to Playa Pelada, where the Nosara River meets the Pacific Ocean. This area has only one road in and out, and few people are aware of this secluded section.

The location offers exceptional privacy while remaining conveniently close to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, and all the amenities the Nosara community provides. The house is only a one-minute walk from the beach.

This area is a haven for wildlife. Thanks to the harmonious relationship between homeowners and nature, animals often come right up to the doorstep. If you seek peaceful seclusion, this is the perfect spot—until a flock of parrots lands in the tree above or the local troop of monkeys joins in, adding a bit of lively noise.

Constructed in harmony with the surrounding community, this single-story, two-bedroom home is ideal for traveling families. One bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the other has two sets of custom-made bunk beds. Both bedrooms include private bathrooms with walk-in showers.

There is also a twin bed in the loft of the main room; however, this space is not recommended for sleeping due to high temperatures.

Additionally, there is a separate, private one-bedroom cabina with its own bathroom, accessible only by a private bridge over a stream. Together, the house and cabina accommodate up to eight guests.

Both the house and cabina are fully air-conditioned and equipped with all the comforts of home, including:

• Beach towels
• Television
• High-speed wireless internet
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Outdoor grill
• Pool chairs
• Monitored alarm system

The house and cabina are rented only as a combined unit, never separately.

Note: The kitchen was completely remodeled in late 2020.

Because the property is located at the end of a road, there is no through traffic, noise, or dust commonly found in other areas.

Security

Costa Ricans are naturally kind and friendly, but petty theft can be an issue in Nosara, as in many tourist destinations. Common sense is the best deterrent. The property features a monitored alarm system, a nightly neighborhood security patrol, and a 400-pound safe bolted to the floor.

Additional Services

If you prefer not to cook, a private chef can be arranged to handle all grocery shopping and prepare meals at the house. This service offers excellent value compared to dining out. Let us know your preferences, and we will make it happen.

Location and Surroundings

Nosara is experiencing rapid growth and construction. However, the northern end of Playa Pelada, where Casa Memphis is located, remains free from early morning construction noise, truck traffic, and dust.

Dust can be a significant issue from December to May in other parts of Nosara. To minimize dust in front of the house, molasses is applied regularly to the road, giving the area a subtle pancake-like scent.

Guest Access

Guests can easily walk to the beach, a mini supermarket, and several restaurants in Playa Pelada. For access to a wider selection of dining and shopping options, it is about a 30-minute walk along the beach. We recommend renting a vehicle such as a car, golf cart, or ATV for convenience. Bicycle rentals are also available in town.

Other Notes

Nosara is growing quickly, and construction projects can appear suddenly. Currently, there is no construction in the immediate neighborhood, but this could change in the future.
