Welcome to Casa Scandi – your home away from home in Costa Rica. From the moment you walk through the wide front doors, this home welcomes you with a great view straight out to the pool and patio area. The indoor and outdoor spaces flow together easily, making it perfect for hanging out or entertaining. The comfortable couches outside by the pool are just as cozy as the ones in the tall-ceiling living room inside.

Step Inside

As soon as you walk through the oversized front doors, you’ll be wowed by the open, airy vibe—think 20-foot ceilings, tons of natural light, and a big open-concept living space that brings everyone together. The fully stocked kitchen makes cooking a breeze, with features including:

• Espresso maker
• Pressure cooker

The massive Guanacaste wood table seats 12, making it the go-to spot for meals, games, or long chats over coffee. The cozy living area, equipped with a 60-inch smart TV, is perfect for movie nights or just lounging around.

Indoor-Outdoor Living at Its Best

Slide open the glass doors and you’re instantly connected to the outdoor space, which features:

• Private pool
• Outdoor kitchen
• Large handmade dining table

This area is ideal for barbecues, sunbathing, or just hanging out. The U-shaped layout of the house means every bedroom opens to the pool area, giving everyone their own space with easy access to the fun.

The Bedrooms

• Master 1: King bed, private outdoor seating, large en-suite with indoor and outdoor showers, and a soaking tub.
• Master 2: King bed, stylish en-suite, plus indoor and outdoor showers and tub.
• Bedroom 3: Great for kids—two sets of bunks (queen below, twin above), large bathroom, and a connecting door to Master 2.
• Bedroom 4: King bed and a private en-suite, designed with accessibility in mind.
• Office/Gym: Flexible space with desk and a 50-inch TV—great for work or play. Includes:

  • Weight bench
  • CAP Adjustable Barbells

Every room has air conditioning, ceiling fans, and blackout curtains to help you sleep comfortably.

The Vibe

Casa Scandi was built with heart—designed by travelers, made by local artisans, and packed with everything you need for a laid-back, unforgettable stay. Plus, you're just a short drive or golf cart ride from Hacienda Pinilla's beautiful, uncrowded beaches.

Other Things to Note

Hacienda Pinilla is a large property, spanning over 4,200 acres. We recommend stopping for groceries before you arrive, especially if you have had a long trip and don't want to drive again. Fuego Blue and Il Rustico both deliver pizza if you want to order in; their contact information is in the welcome booklet.

Any guests will need permission to enter Hacienda Pinilla, which must be sent to the front security gate. Please make sure to contact your host to arrange this if needed. The Beach Club is a great option for a day out, serving food and drinks. There is a $5 fee per person for rental guests to enter the club. This is a change from previous years, and the fee is no longer consumable.
