The Space

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene studio. It is a brand new, unique, and possibly the only free-standing casita high up in Hacienda Iguana. Surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife, including birds, monkeys, and iguanas, this tranquil environment is perfect for relaxation or work.

The studio is located behind a home, above a garage, and is just a three-minute walk to the world-class waves at Playa Colorado. The area is fenced off and gated for privacy and security. There are steps leading up to the casita, which features a spacious open-plan layout.

Outside, you will find a small garden space to relax in, as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off after surfing or beach time. This unique space is nestled among the trees yet remains close to the ocean in a modern, comfortable unit.

We live nearby and will check you in, or you can use a lockbox for self-check-in with your key and instructions inside.

Other Things to Note

Electricity costs in Nicaragua are among the highest in Central America, and we kindly ask that you turn off lights, air conditioning, and fans when not in use to conserve energy. There will be an extra charge for excessive usage.

It is common for power outages to occur, especially during the rainy or windy season. The loft is equipped with a generator for power outages, which will keep your electricity running, but it is fueled by a propane tank that will eventually run out, so please use it wisely. Note that air conditioning is not powered by the generator during outages. WiFi will remain available unless the generator runs out of propane or the WiFi provider experiences an outage. WiFi speed is 20 Mbps.

The pool is not shared and is not included with the loft. The garage is not accessible for guests, but parking is available for your vehicles at the side of the house. We offer laundry services; please inquire if interested. A private chef can also be arranged for meal plans.
