The Space
This luxurious 6,500-square-foot home in Dominical, Costa Rica, is perched 100 feet above the surf along the coast of Costa Rica’s renowned tropical rainforest. Every room offers dramatic ocean views accompanied by the soothing sounds of the sea.
The Great Room serves as the central gathering area of the house, featuring soaring 25-foot ceilings that create an open and airy atmosphere. It is furnished with oversized lounge sofas, ideal for relaxing comfortably. Twenty-foot-tall sliding glass patio doors open to a covered patio adjacent to the pool, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Within the Great Room is a modern kitchen designed around an island with bar stools, providing ample space for cooking, serving, and dining. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a Viking range with convection oven, an oversized refrigerator, generous counter space, a walk-in pantry, microwave, blender, cutlery, cookware, and elegant place settings for up to 14 guests.
Extending from the Great Room, the spacious covered patio flows effortlessly into the infinity-edge pool area. The patio features 25-foot ceilings with large fans, a cozy seating area, a dining table seating 12, and an outdoor grill. The pool deck offers chaise lounges and plenty of space for sunbathing. The 7-foot-deep pool has an infinity edge that visually merges with the ocean beyond and is treated with eco-friendly salts, making it gentle on the skin and visually appealing.
The house has two wings extending from the Great Room, each mirroring the other. Both the north and south wings contain a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs, totaling six bedrooms. The two downstairs bedrooms share a full bathroom and a laundry area equipped with two washers and two dryers. Each master suite includes walk-in closets, luxurious bathrooms, and two private decks—one with ocean views and the other overlooking the jungle. Every bedroom is equipped with its own air conditioning unit and ceiling fan, allowing guests to customize their comfort.
Grounds and Wildlife
The property is landscaped with native tropical flowering plants and trees that attract a variety of colorful wildlife. Visitors can observe hummingbirds, toucans, fire-billed aracaris, scarlet macaws, and numerous other bird species. Butterflies, including the striking iridescent blue Morphos, are common, along with white-faced monkeys and more.
The ocean vista from the home is part of the migratory route for humpback whales. During several months each year, families of whales can be seen breaching and playing in the warm, salty waters nearby.

We had a lovely time in Costa Rica and this home fit the bill perfectly for our needs- 2 families traveling together. Plenty of space. The kitchen was well appointed. The added benefit of cleaning staff who regularly came to tidy up was great. The pool and outside area are spacious and the sunset views from the pool and the swing are really pretty.

Gorgeous house, nicer than the photos! Great views and nice walk down to the beach. Junior was a great host, very helpful with answering any questions. Very clean and lots of space for many guests.

What a gorgeous view from this fabulous home with a pool overlooking the ocean. 3 families with kids stayed together and had the best time at this house. Junior was proactive and made check-in easy with directions. He also checked in with us to ensure all was well. Plenty of space! Loved the peaceful outdoor swing overlooking the ocean. Sunsets are outstanding. We didn’t want to leave.

Wow!! This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. Breathtaking views, more than enough room for 10 of us, beautiful pool and all the amenities we needed. Kitchen is fully stocked if you decide to cook. The little town of Dominical is just 2 minutes away and the grocery store is right across the street. We felt very safe here. Road to get in is very steep and we did not venture out on foot. I think that having a car (or a driver) is a necessity here. We were surprised that there were very little bugs, we didn’t use our bug spray once while we were here. We were a group of 10 from the age of 10 to 84 and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed this place! Thanks to Junior for helping us out and being a very responsive host. Thank you to Jason and Flora for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We had a group of 13 including 2 children and one infant. Our stay was everything we expected plus so much more! The home is stunning and spacious as well as the amenities suited us well. Junior was our contact during our stay and was amazing. He helped us with transportation during our stay as well as chefs to come in as we requested. He got us reservations and did two mornings of surfing lessons with our family. He always responded immediately when called upon. Loved our stay and definitely will go back!
