Montecristo is a private gated community situated on the mountainside in Los Cabos, Mexico. It offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features an exclusive Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained, with access to a stunning clubhouse. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful enclave provides privacy and a serene environment.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay in this remarkable setting. Each villa serves as a comfortable home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:

• Reading areas
• Walk-in closets

Please note that our listings are not tied to a specific villa, but all villas share the same layout and amenities. Each villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. Views vary by villa and cannot be guaranteed to match photos exactly, though they will be similar. We do not accept location requests. Villas are managed across both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.

Booking and Guest Policies

• Prices are based on the number of guests. Please book for the exact number of guests staying.
• If additional guests arrive beyond the booked number, extra guest fees will apply and may double if reported during or after check-in.
• Additional guests can be added before arrival at the original extra guest fee if done at least a few days prior.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• The Montecristo Community enforces strict house rules; please review them to avoid surprises.
• Basic kitchen items such as salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, and sugar are not provided.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The municipality of Los Cabos has introduced an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements, including environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects.

• This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward.
• The fee is 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rates).
• It is charged at check-out in addition to the rental fee.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals follows strict health and safety guidelines based on recommendations from global hotel consulting experts:

Cleanliness Standards

• Hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the resort, including front desks and public areas.
• Certified sanitization products are used to clean high-touch surfaces.
• Periodic deep cleaning by certified third parties is conducted before reopening and regularly thereafter.

Arrival Procedures

• External luggage sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices.
• Guest sanitization cabins and infrared temperature checks; guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) may be denied access.
• Mobile pre-check-in is available.

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided.
• Masks and gloves available upon request.
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines are removed but can be requested.

Social Distancing and Hygiene

• Elevator capacity limited to two persons unless family members.
• Public area furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance.

Pool, Spa, and Fitness

• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart.
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use.
• Reduced maximum capacities for fitness centers and spas.

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar seating arranged to maintain social distancing.
• Maximum capacities enforced.
• Staff wear masks.
• Contactless room service available.
• Menus accessible via mobile devices; physical menus removed.

Golf Club

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use.
• Reception and practice areas have capacity limits.
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart.
• One golf cart per person unless family members request otherwise.
• New rules to minimize touchpoints during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed).

COVID-19 Case Management

• On-site detection team includes a physician, general manager, operations manager, and head of security.
• Protocols established for handling suspected COVID-19 cases.
• 24/7 medical services available.

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks.
• Certification program overseen by the Ministry of Health for restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tourism activities.
• Procedures are continuously updated based on health guidelines.

Community Rules

Outside services are prohibited within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. This includes private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.

Extra Guest Charges

Any guests added after the initial booking will incur additional fees. Ensure the reservation reflects the total number of guests staying. All guests must be registered, and fees paid accordingly.

• Extra guest fee for additions before arrival: $50 USD per night per person
• Extra guest fee for additions during or after check-in: $100 USD per night per person

Villa Assignment

Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit nature of the property and scheduling of arrivals and departures. Assignments cannot be guaranteed or confirmed prior to arrival.

Early Check-In

Guests may visit the clubhouse reception upon arrival. Early check-in cannot be guaranteed and is only confirmed at 4:00 p.m. If the villa becomes available earlier, guests will be notified. While waiting, guests may use clubhouse facilities, and luggage or groceries can be stored until the villa is ready.

Experience

This property operates as a vacation rental, distinct from timeshares or hotel bookings made through resorts. Some amenities included with resorts may not be available with this rental. The amenities provided align with industry standards for vacation rentals and recommendations from platforms like Airbnb.
