A good choice if you’re looking for value. The apartment was clean and well-kept, and the family living downstairs makes it feel welcoming. The price is excellent for what you get and the view from the window is a nice touch. The location is good if you need to be in this area (Heredia), but be mindful that traffic if coming from/going to airport, especially in the morning and afternoon, can be heavy. There can also be some street noise at night as motorcycles pass by so if you’re sensitive to that it’s worth noting.

We are 600 meters from the center of San Rafael, however, this place is very quiet since it is not a main street. At 9:00 pm, the neighbors' lights are off and there is a lot of silence. It is inevitable that from time to time a vehicle or motorcycle will pass by. Usually, after 11:00 pm, almost none pass by. Thank you for your stay.

great place to stay away from San Jose but if you have a car it's easy to get to San Jose or you can take the local bus for 500 Colones. Can get to Heredia by walking or local bus and this is a mini versión of San Jose. all things you need are here or in the other town nearby

Deyanira's apartment was spacious and bright. It's near the downtown area so there's lots of restaurants nearby (albeit mostly fried chicken spots). She's an amazing and friendly host, and even made Gallo Pinto for us one morning, as well as soup another night. Honestly, one of the nicest people you can meet, and super accommodating. The house is about 30 minutes from San Jose, but I much preferred it to being in the city. It's quiet and calm, and I'd recommend this spot to anybody visiting Costa Rica!

The accommodation is nice and the welcome is neat (nice folding of towels). The environment was a little noisy at night but we slept with the windows open because of the heat. We would recommend this listing.

We had a lovely stay at Deyanira's. We were looking for a stay close to the airport, but were also looking for a nice and quiet location. The apartment was full of comforts and also very clean! Deyanira was a great host and gave us tips for local recommendations. The communication was sometimes a bit difficult given the language barrier. However, we can highly recommend Deyanira as a host and her apartment! 10/10 We will work on our Spanish for next time Deyanira 😉

De communicatie was soms wat lastig gezien de taalbarrière. It's a great spot for getting some coffee at the nice cafe up the street and getting to downtown San Rafael where there was an awesome food truck lot and a Fresh Market. The park was very close and easy to walk my dog and the place was super homey and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We stayed for one night as we were passing through the area and found Deyanira’s place fit our needs. The laundry facilities were a nice addition. Secure, off street parking was also very nice.  We initially had trouble finding the exact location in Waze, but Deyanira had included coordinates in her posting that brought us directly there, so that was also very helpful.

We met Deyanira and her husband. They were super friendly and welcoming. The apartment is perfect for couples or groups of friends/small families. It is close to Heredia City and with a car or Uber you can reach San José really fast. Deyanira always was very helpful for all our requests and tried to make us feel comfortable in the apartment. It was super clean and organized. In the kitchen is everything you need. The area is quiet and peaceful. There are several stores and restaurants close. I highly recommend the place and would love to come back!

A nice big surprise! The place is even better in person. It really exceeded our expectations. All very clean and polished. I had the most delightful experience staying with this Airbnb host! From the moment we arrived, my 13-year-old son, my furry companion Juno, and I felt immediately at home. The host's warm and welcoming nature made us feel like we were part of the family. The space was beautifully decorated with every comfort we could possibly need, making our stay incredibly comfortable. What really stood out was the host's kindness and thoughtfulness. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect, surprising us with lovely treats and thoughtful gestures throughout our two-week stay. I cannot speak highly enough of this host - they embody the true spirit of hospitality and made our stay an absolutely unforgettable experience. Thank you for making us feel like we were in heaven! PS: the beds are so incredibly comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere so relaxing, that you may find yourself oversleeping daily! 🥰

We absolutely loved our stay.  We decided to stay two more days because it felt like home.  The host Ms D was super kind and loving.  She is one of the best host we have ever had.  We had fruit stands and a butcher shop and two stores with in one block walking.  Very safe neighborhood!  I strongly recommend this airbnb to everyone of all ages!

I was a guest for a month. I liked it very much. Small restaurants and shops such as bakeries and supermarkets are all nearby. It is a very quiet living area. The nearest bus stop to Heredia is only 2 minutes away. For me, it was ideal because the Spanish school I went to was in Heredia. I really liked living there because the host’s were very nice and helpful. The flat has everything you need. Every morning I enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountain. I can highly recommend it.

I stayed for 3 weeks with my small dog at Deyanira's place and it was perfect! so comfortable and well stocked, with everything I needed to cook my own meals and extra thoughtful touches like extra blankets and towels, a great private laundry room, and bedside lamps. The neighbourhood is quiet and great for walking my dog. About 10 minutes walk from downtown San Rafael, Pali, and the Sunday farmers market. I worked remotely and the internet was strong and reliable. Unfortunately my Spanish sucks so most communication was via messaging, but Deyanira was super responsive and helpful! I plan to be back when I'm next in the area

It was a pleasure to meet Deyanira and her husband. A really beautiful place, they take care very well about it. It is very clean. Also we had some very nice talks with her, I appreciate her helpful way a lot. When I come back to San Rafael, I will text her again if the apartment is available to rent another time. Such a beautiful home.
