With clean modern lines, customized furniture, and a palette of bright tropical colors, Casa Ola Aloha is a tropical modern beauty. All internal spaces are air-conditioned with individual mini-split units for customized cooling throughout the home.

The furniture, from the huge pivoting wooden front door to the incredible feature beds, wooden cabinets, and dining table, has been customized to continue the tropical theme.

Thirty feet of glass sliding doors open the main house to an incredible private oasis setting, with a cooling pool as the central feature. Adjacent to the pool, a luxurious 365 square foot thatched palm rancho offers the ultimate poolside retreat, complete with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, dining area, lounge, and a hammock for afternoon relaxation.

As a guest of Casa Ola Aloha, you will have access to the Hacienda Pinilla amenities, including:

  • Playa Avellanas: Home of the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club and a famous 2-mile stretch of surf.
  • Playa Mansita: A flat water lagoon at low tide, perfect for snorkeling, fishing, and exploring tide pools.
  • Playa Langosta: A beautiful beach with large trees right up to the shoreline, ideal for a long beach day.

Beach Club

Guests can enjoy the exclusive Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club with an entry fee of $5. The beach club features:

Note: The Beach Club has an annual closure in October for maintenance and upgrades.

JW Marriott Hotel

Guests have access to numerous restaurants at the JW Marriott Hotel. A day pass can be purchased for use of the JW amenities and pool, which is the largest pool in Central America.

Golf Course

The par 72 golf course, designed by Mike Young, enhances the natural landscape of Hacienda Pinilla.

Tennis Courts

Hacienda Pinilla offers three hard court tennis courts with an onsite instructor.

  • Tuesday: Advanced clinic, 5:00-6:30 PM, $20
  • Thursday: Intermediate clinic, 4:00-5:30 PM, $20
  • Saturday: Pickleball clinic, 8:30-10:30 AM, $10
• Lessons:
  • $60/hour
  • $70 for 2 persons (1 hour)
  • $200 for a package of 4 lessons
  • $450 for a package of 10 lessons
• Court rental: $10-$15 per hour; $25 per hour with lights; $5 per racquet or paddle; $5 per person for pickleball sessions.

Horse Stables

Enjoy sixteen kilometers of scenic trails that wind through the dry forest and lead to the white sands of Playa Langosta. Guided horseback tours are available and can be customized for your group, lasting from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Mountain Bike Trails

The property features:

• Pro trails: 30 kilometers
• Amateur trails: 15 kilometers

These trails are also great for hiking and exploring the 4,500 acres.

Surfing

Hacienda Pinilla is one of the best locations in Costa Rica for surfing, with six waves on Playa Avellanas and private access to the beach breaks of Playa Langosta. The famous Playa Negra reef breaks are just 10 minutes south, and the river mouth and beach breaks of Tamarindo are 10 minutes to the north.

Rates

Rates are based on up to 10 guests. An additional fee applies per guest after the 10th person, up to the maximum occupancy of the property. Please include the total number of guests in your booking for an accurate quote.

The property is designed for relaxed family vacations. It is not suitable for parties or large events, and guests are expected to respect the community's noise policy, which prohibits noise outside between 10 PM and 6 AM.
