Step into La Gran Sultana, a spacious 5BR colonial house in Nicaragua with a lush garden, pool, and rooftop views. Sleeps 14 in comfort and style.
Welcome to La Gran Sultana, a colonial house rebuilt in 2002 featuring a patio garden and a pool. The house can accommodate up to 14 guests in 5 rooms.
In 2025, significant improvements were made, including:
From the street, opening one of the two antique double doors leads to a spacious entryway with rocking chairs, perfect for receiving guests or enjoying the fresh air from the lake at sunset. Once the door is closed, the noise from the street fades away, revealing a wide three-fold corridor that surrounds the garden.
One of the two street doors provides comfortable access and parking for a 4x4 or van, accommodating up to two cars. The main corridor leads to the center of the house and includes additional seating facing the pool, along with two hammocks suspended between exotic wooden pillars.
The garden is filled with tropical plants, offering ample shade. At 6 AM, as the city awakens and the sun rises, this is the ideal spot to watch birds, including hummingbirds, fluttering about.
The left-side corridor is equipped with internet access, while the right side hosts the main dining tables. The spacious kitchen, located at the center of the home between the two outer patios, has everything needed to prepare meals or snacks.
There are five bedrooms in the house:

Main Floor:
Back Garden Area:
Every room includes a closet and a workspace. The upstairs balcony offers spectacular views of the surrounding rooftops. Four out of the five bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.
An important feature is the water tank located at the back of the house, ensuring a consistent water supply.
Guests will have access to the entire house. If the number of guests is fewer than the maximum capacity, some rooms may be closed to minimize dust.
Electricity is expensive in Nicaragua. A basic daily credit is included in the rental price based on the number of guests. If this limit is exceeded, guests will be charged for the additional usage based on kilowatt-hour costs. Please remember to turn off the air conditioning when not in use.
The Nicaraguan government has strict regulations regarding drug consumption. The use of any drugs (including cocaine, LSD, and marijuana) is strictly prohibited in the house. Violating this rule will result in contacting the authorities.
As you are in a colonial district in an exotic country, please be mindful of your noise levels and respect the local community.
While the country is generally safe, please take care of your belongings, such as jewelry, cell phones, money, and passports. A safe is available in the main room; please coordinate with the house manager for access.
There are two fire extinguishers, one on each floor.
