The Space
The main floor features an open-concept layout with a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and a dining table that seats six. The living room includes a new couch, a smart TV, and a half bathroom. Step outside to a private patio furnished with a table and chairs.
On the second level, there are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a balcony.
The third floor houses the master suite, which offers a king bed, an ensuite bathroom with a shower and tub, a TV, and a balcony overlooking the garden and pool.
Additional amenities include a washer and dryer for private use.

Casa Mandel is situated within a gated community that provides 24/7 security for peace of mind.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the entire property, including the private patio off the kitchen, two balconies with scenic views, and all shared amenities such as the pool area with lounge chairs.
Additional Information
Housekeeping services are included before and after your stay. Additional cleaning during your visit is available at a reasonable extra cost. All linens and towels are provided for your convenience.

Muy agradecidos por el espacio tan bonito que tuvimos por 5 días. Muy acogedor, nos resolvieron un par de cosas que tuvimos en la casa, muy atentos en responder rápidamente, muchas utensilios en la cocina que facilitan mucho el viaje en familia. Todo muy bonito, estamos muy contentos y agradecidos.

We stayed for a month at Ellen’s place and it was perfect! Comfortable for 3 adults and 2 children. The main living area on the first floor is cozy but the bedrooms upstairs are spacious and comfortable. The place felt safe, secure, and was walkable to everything in town. The kids used the lovely pool every afternoon. I worked most days in the apartment and the WiFi worked great. The washer and dryer came in super handy and worked well. The kitchen was fairly well equipped for cooking and dining in. Parking was available around the exterior of the building. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Lite otillförlitlig tillgång till vatten - speciellt på övervåningarna men det berodde inte på boendet utan mer på att det kan vara så i Costa Rica :)

Place is fine but fairly run down. The bathrooms had broken shower head and one didn’t have hot water. In general the place appears worn with wear and tear visible everywhere. Ultimately tamarindo is expensive and this may just be what you get at this price point.

The airbnb was clean with ceiling fans and a/c. It was tended by a husband wife team that really cared for the unit. Unit was centrally located to beach, shopping and restaurants - walkable The pool was a jem too! Lush vegetation surrounded it. And fortunate to use everyday

The unit is close to everything. Grocery store is just a short walk, the beach a short walk and lots of restaurants to pick from. Every evening we had margaritas on the beach watching the beautiful sunset. Tamarindo is one of our favorite places in the world and this was a good place to stay with a pool, beach towels, washer and dryer, good kitchen and comfortable living area. Note to anyone renting this unit, if you don't do stairs realize there are three stories of tiled steps to the top master bedroom, which we didn't mind even though we are seniors as it's good exercise. It's a great bedroom with AC and a balcony and bathroom. We were very comfortable there. The rental agency is super helpful and quickly responsive. We had our transport from the airport set up with them and when our shuttle was late, we just called Kattia and she took care of it promptly. Even an email on Sunday morning was answered within minutes. Ellen is a person you can trust. The location is fantastic.

My husband, myself, and our three young adult children stayed at Ellen’s place for a week. The Airbnb was just as Ellen described. It is a townhouse condo that looks out on pretty palm trees and the pool. There are 3 full baths plus a half bath on the first floor. They layout was perfect for us and we enjoyed have shared living space, the kitchen with table and chairs, and the washer dryer. You could easily walk to the beach and to town. Ellen gave us fabulous recommendations for things and restaurants in Tamarindo. We also utilized her property manager to arrange airport transportation and a private chef one night. We loved Tamarindo and I recommend Ellen and her place.

Location amazing—super close to downtown and beach without being too noisy. Balcony out top very peaceful. Loved having the pool, if other things weren’t an issue the price was ideal for a 3 bedroom 3.5 bath! However some things detracted from our experience: water and internet kept cutting out, lots of mosquitoes in the entryway, couch was old and mildewy, pool often dirty and a/c at top floor would make noises loud enough to wake us in the middle of the night. Internet unreliable in at the top floor. It was nice to have the management company sometimes. One day the internet went out and I had trouble finding a coworking space so I worked from the management office! They also added a small twin mattress so our kids could sleep in the same room for $100.
