Guest House Addition

Treehouse Addition

Our new treehouse sleeps 4 guests and offers stunning views along with a private small jacuzzi pool. To include the treehouse in your stay, send us a message, and we will assist with adding it to your reservation.

Tiny House Addition

Known as the honeymoon suite, the tiny house sleeps 2 and features spectacular views. It also includes specially made swings for two adults, evoking a sense of childhood romance. Let us know if you wish to add the tiny house, and we will coordinate it for you.

Bella Vista Private Resort has hosted numerous weddings, family reunions, anniversary celebrations, yoga retreats, and corporate gatherings. The property's size and scenic grounds make it perfect for such occasions. We are eager to collaborate with you to create a memorable and beautiful event.

Additionally, the resort includes four pickleball courts, making it an excellent venue for pickleball retreats.

Staff and Services

Our on-site resort manager, Patricia, exemplifies Costa Rican warmth and hospitality. She is well connected locally and can help arrange activities, excursions, and events. Upon request, she can also prepare authentic Costa Rican meals daily.

A groundskeeper maintains the property year-round, often providing guests with fresh fruit or coconuts during their stay.

We can arrange airport pickups and drop-offs. The closest major airport is San Jose International Airport, approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from the resort.

Airport Transportation Fees

San Jose Airport: $125 for pickup, $125 for drop-off per trip (up to 8 people)
Larger groups requiring two vehicles or bigger vehicles: additional $200
Liberia Airport: $300 for pickup, $300 for drop-off per vehicle

Vehicle Rental Fees

Van: $150 per day for the entire stay; $200 per day if rented for partial days
Mitsubishi SUV: $100 per day for the entire stay; $150 per day if rented for partial days
Rental period starts on the second day of your stay and ends the day before departure
Insurance is included in the rental price

Event Fees

Events with up to 24 guests: $400
Events with 25 to 50 guests: $700
Events with 51 to 80 guests: $1100

When hosting an event, the entire property will be reserved exclusively for your group.

Accommodation Add-Ons

Guest house: $250 per night plus an $80 cleaning fee
Treehouse: $200 per night plus a $40 cleaning fee
Tiny house: $100 per night plus a $25 cleaning fee

Meals

Breakfast: $12 per person
Lunch and dinner: $16 per person
Specialty vegan meals may incur additional charges due to ingredient costs

Meal payments are made in cash to the resort manager at the end of your stay, who will provide a detailed breakdown. Other services and add-ons can be arranged and paid for before arrival or after booking.

Guest Access

You will receive an access code for the main entry gate before arrival. The house has a separate smart lock code. Ample free parking is available on the property.

Bella Vista Private Resort spans 2.5 acres and operates like a small resort with on-site staff maintaining the grounds and facilities. Gardeners and pool cleaners are typically present most days.

If you have not rented the entire property, please respect the privacy of other guests and avoid entering other homes. The gym and pickleball courts are shared amenities accessible to all guests, but the main house pool is reserved exclusively for guests staying in the main house.

This is a luxury property and not a party venue. We enforce strict policies against drug use and illegal activities. Guests engaging in such behavior will be asked to leave without a refund.

The main house accommodates up to 14 people. Additional accommodations can be booked by contacting us after your initial reservation.

We welcome events such as family or corporate retreats, weddings, baby showers, yoga groups, and pickleball retreats. The property includes tables and chairs for up to 80 guests. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Bella Vista Resort in Costa Rica was absolutely amazing! We chose this beautiful resort to celebrate my 21st wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The property was beautiful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the breathtaking views made every moment special. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and every detail helped create unforgettable memories for our family. The estate is beautiful with lush tropical landscape sitting atop a mountain! My family and I really enjoyed this home and the surrounding area. Everything is exactly what’s listed in the description of the estate. The location is the jungle! So do expect to go up and down a lot of mountains. Some of us actually got motion sickness but were okay after taking Dramamine. A shout out to Karen!!! We had a miscommunication daily with our contracted transportation and without hesitation Karen took care of everything and made sure that my family was comfortable and okay each and everyday. There was a language barrier which may have contributed to the miscommunication as well. I love that whenever I text you Karen you responded within minutes even when I wasn’t expecting such a quick response, I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Our family of 13 stayed at Bella Vista for 1 week during the rainy season and enjoyed every day! It really only rained once or twice during our stay. The property was beautiful and relaxing. The hosts were perfect with their communication of all our questions and very responsive. Patricia was wonderful and cooked the most delicious dinners and breakfast. Definitely worth having her fix dinners! We rented the mainhouse and the treehouse and had plenty of room to spread out. The views from the property were outstanding. The pool was the highlight for all...ages 2 to 71. Yes, there were bugs mainly outside, it's Costa Rica!! Centrally located we visited Waterfall, Monteverde Cloud forest, ziplines, took the ferry over to Nicoya Peninsula, went to a local beach near the Crocodile Bridge, went to Coffee Farm and butterfly farm. I highly recommend Bella Vista Private Resort and we would definitely stay again! Pura Vida!

The host was very responsive and eager to help. They were able to find us tennis balls and a tennis court upon request. Pickle ball courts on the property were very nice. The views from the house were beautiful; the pool and home cooking were nice. We had to wash bed sheets from stains and hair, there was hair in the shower. The house has a huge bug problem. Caterpillars, ants, a scorpion, tarantula, roaches, spiders, lizards everywhere inside the house, made us very uncomfortable. We demanded to arrange for pest control - the owner helped with that, and bugs disappeared for 2 days only. Then we just had too many things wrong every day: no electricity or AC for one day, lack of hot water later, no WiFi in one of the houses, water dripping from AC- the owners tried really hard to fix everything, to be fair. The house is 2 hrs away from a nice beach, and pretty far from main attractions. Considering everything, the price was reasonable. It was a stressful vacation…

This was the best air bnb we have ever stayed at. The views were breath taking. some of the sights are quite a ways away, but there are a significant excursions that are close to the villa. The custodians are very helpful and caring.

From the first hour, electricity went out immediately. We were noticed the day before my trip about construction going on outside the house which left no privacy, people in and out the property, even when we’re at the pool we had workers working next to us. Patrica was super nice and helpful but spoke barely any English so if it wasn’t with text messages we couldn’t communicate and she was the care taker. Toilet in master bedroom flood and no one threw any napkins. Bathroom vanity sink water would stay up and was gross. We were told to “take all bed sheets off the bed” which I’ve never been told to do so and once we did we noticed many stains over the sheets AND bed. Shiloh was help when he would answer but would take so long to answer. We ended up booking another Airbnb because we were not satisfied and will be looking to be compensated. I would not recommend this Airbnb to any group of friends looking to leave or have a great time as the place was inconvenient and ruined our trip.
