The Space

Ometepe Casitas offers a cabin with a private kitchen on a peaceful and beautiful lakefront property in El Peru, Ometepe. Guests can swim at the calm beach and enjoy stunning views of both the Maderas and Concepcion Volcanoes. Activities include:

• Renting a kayak to paddle up to the Istian River
• Renting a scooter to explore the rest of the island
• Relaxing at the beach or terrace while watching the sunset and observing monkeys, birds, and parrots

Our property consists of:

• A lakefront house with a second-floor terrace for guest use
• A beach gazebo
• Parking space
• A total of three casitas, each accommodating two guests, with approximately six meters of distance between them

The property is situated on an island in a natural reserve, providing a unique opportunity to experience the local wildlife and natural beauty.

Other Things to Note

Staying on an island comes with its challenges. Power outages are common during heavy rains, strong winds, or regular network maintenance.

Insects and wildlife are part of the island experience. Ometepe is home to various insects, mammals, birds, and reptiles. While we have made efforts to bug-proof our indoor facilities, you may still encounter:

• Small ants
• Geckos
• Occasional non-deadly scorpions or spiders

We recommend keeping doors closed to minimize the entry of flying insects.

Please note that during the rainy season, the 700 meters of dirt road leading to our property may be rocky in some areas after heavy rains. Although it is mostly flat and better than many other dirt roads on the island, we recommend driving slowly. A slightly higher vehicle is advantageous.
