Casa MAAR is a luxury, fully-serviced modern/Balinese inspired house located within the exclusive ocean-side resort community of Hacienda Pinilla in Costa Rica. Newly built in 2021, Casa MAAR is designed to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor living spaces, making it the perfect entertainment home for families, couples, or groups of friends.

The Community

Casa MAAR is located inside Las Brisas at Hacienda Pinilla, an exclusive Hacienda-style resort surrounded by Costa Rica’s rich biodiversity. Guests can choose from four nearby beaches: Avellanas, Mansita, Bonita, and Langosta.

The Beach Club

The beach club features:

Guests can enjoy surfing, relaxing by the pool, or watching fabulous sunsets. Starting January 1, 2025, there will be a fee of $5 per day per person (non-consumable), with free access for children 10 years old and below. Please note that the beach club will be under maintenance from October 5-18, 2026.

Surfing

Playa Avellanas, home of the beach club, offers six world-class surf breaks, including Little Hawaii, the Estero, Dead Tree, and Lola’s.

The Golf Course

The 18-hole, par 72 beachfront golf course features stunning sunset views over a secluded beach.

JW Marriott Hotel

As a guest at Casa MAAR, you will have access to the JW Marriott Hotel's numerous restaurants and can purchase a day pass for access to all hotel grounds and amenities. Playa Mansita and Bonita, near the hotel, offer great tide pools during low tides.

The Tennis Courts

The resort has two hard court tennis courts with an onsite instructor, Sylvain. Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available, along with regular kids camps and pickleball events.

Mountain Bike Trails

Hacienda Pinilla features over 45 kilometers of mountain bike trails throughout the ranch, forest, and coastline. The trails offer scenic routes and challenges suitable for families, beginners, and experienced riders.
