Casa Bambú next to the Sarapiquí River - Lofts for Rent in Sarapiqui, Heredia Province, Costa Rica

What a beautiful villa in an insanely beautiful location, with views of the Rio Sarapiqui and huge trees. The villa itself has a beautiful modern design, where every detail is right. Everything feels very luxurious. In addition, the villa is close to the village (5 minutes by car) where you can find everything you need. Unfortunately, we could only stay for 1 night and had to shorten our stay due to the floods. We would have liked to have stayed here for a few days, because there is also plenty to do in the beautiful surroundings of Sarapiqui.

Wat een prachtige villa op een waanzinnig mooie plek, met zicht op de Rio Sarapiqui en gigantische bomen. De villa zelf heeft een prachtig modern design, waarbij elk detail klopt. Alles voelt heel luxueus aan. Bovendien ligt de villa dicht bij het dorp (5 min met de auto) waar je alles kan vinden wat je nodig hebt. Helaas konden we slechts 1 nacht blijven en moesten we ons verblijf inkorten door de overstromingen. Hier hadden we graag een paar dagen verbleven, want er is ook veel te doen in de mooie omgeving van Sarapiqui.

The house exceeded our expectations - beautiful location on the banks of the Rio Sarapiqui surrounded by gorgeous ancient trees. Paths around the property were fun to explore and most traffic noise was drowned out by the small river next to the house. So much birdlife here as well! The fire pit next to the river was lit by Victor on two of the three nights were there and was fun to sit next to in the evenings.  The house itself was very modern and had everything we needed. The deck was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding nature. Marinella and her mum were so helpful and went above and beyond to help us with all our laundry - greatly appreciated 😊

Casu Bambu was so incredible. We loved having our morning coffee on the deck. The views of the river were incredible and we loved spotting the iguanas from our hammock. Victor was awesome and so attentive at the lodge. Marianela was also very quick to respond and very helpful. It was a 10/10 stay!!!

We loved our stay here. The spot was gorgeous and Marianela was so responsive and helpful with everything. I wish we were able to stay longer. Would highly recommend!

Staying here was a highlight and we wish we could have stayed longer! Easy drive to La Selva Biológica Reserve for our birdwatching experiences. Felt like we were staying in the pages of a magazine! Stunning birdlife all around. We were able to cook lovely meals and that shower is pretty idylic !  Place is not visible from road - so look for the large wooden gates just outside of town. Waze did get us there - we just missed it the first time :)

A very beautiful, modern bungalow in a quiet, green area by the river. The accommodation is full of comforts and is located on a private property. There is a very large veranda with good lighting so you can look at nature when it is dark. The shower had the best water pressure of our entire trip through Costa Rica. And there is a large kitchen with everything you need.

However, this did bring a problem, namely vermin (cockroaches). The host took it very seriously and would immediately take action to combat this.

Een ontzettend mooie, moderne bungalow in een rustige, groene omgeving aan de rivier. De accommodatie is van alle gemakken voorzien en ligt op een privéterrein. Er is een hele grote veranda met goede verlichting zodat je goed naar de natuur kan kijken als het donker is. De douche had de beste waterdruk van onze hele reis door Costa Rica. En er is een grote keuken met van alles erop en eraan aanwezig. Dit bracht echter wel een probleem met zich mee, namelijk ongedierte (kakkerlakken). De host nam het erg serieus en zou direct actie gaan ondernemen om dit te bestrijden.

We arrived in the dark and left pretty early in the morning so were unable to truly enjoy the location but the surrounding area in the back was beautiful and worth exploring. Unit was well maintained and had some thoughtful touches like the animal guide book. We really liked the place.

A little gem! Very quiet and safe paradise. Kayaks are available and for a fee that varies depending on the distance but remains very modest, the hosts can arrange transportation of kayaks and people higher up the Sarapiqui River. We went down the river quietly with our 2 daughters, the youngest of whom is 4 years old. A place that's really worth it!

Un petit bijoux! Endroit paradisiaque très tranquille et sécuritaire. Les kayaks sont disponibles et moyennant un frais qui varie selon la distance mais qui reste très modeste les hôtes peuvent organiser un transport des kayaks et des personnes plus haut sur la rivière Sarapiqui. Nous avons descendu la rivière tranquillement avec nos 2 filles dont la plus jeune de 4 ans. Un logement qui vaut vraiment la peine!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house surrounded by the jungle — it was absolutely amazing! We could hear and see many birds, and even spotted monkeys across the river. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed. There was a small issue with the sheets, but it was resolved very quickly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience — we would definitely stay here again!

The loft was exceptionally clean and elegant, surrounded by nature yet with a touch of luxury. A perfect combination of comfort and style!

This felt like our own private resort in the Rainforest.  This place was perfect! House was very clean and tastefully decorated. huge porch with a comfortable sitting area and hammock. There's an on-site firepit with freshly chopped wood to make your own bonfire which we sat at for probably an hour!! The host had a great recommendation for a boat tour that picked us up and dropped us off from the property. Best Airbnb we ever stayed at!!!

We didn't realize how big the property itself is, right next to the Sarapiqui river. Absolutely beautiful! Lots of little pathways and small water crossings and little waterfalls on the property. Very beautiful!!
We could hear / see monkeys and different birds around. 
The ammenities are great. Kayaks, Firepit with BBQ! 
The house itself is immaculate. Very well thought out. The patio furniture and large hammock on the giant patio were wonderful. The bed was comfortable, the shower is huge and has consistent hot water. 
Kitchen is stoked. 
We only wish we could have stayed longer. 
Marianela and her mom were both very friendly and helpful when needed. They happily let us check out late which was a bonus.

the Airbnb was top notch, the outside area as you will spect of Costa Rica nature right on your hands, and as per Cecilia above 100% on her effort to be help full including going to the near pharmacy to buy some over the counter medicine my wife needed. very happy and will recommend very much 👍

We loved our stay at Casa Bambu. Our hosts Marianela and her mother Cecilia were very accommodating and helpful with recommendations. The view off the porch was spectacular, we saw many birds and heard howler monkeys almost every morning. We would definitely recommend this rental to our friends and hope to come back and visit next time we're in Sarapiqui!

What a fantastic place this is! On the banks of the Sara Piqui river. From your veranda you can spot the animals.  The lodge itself is also excellent, spacious, clean and beautiful.  And as a cherry on top, the service of Marianela and family. Friendly, helpful and always available. Kayaking is super relaxed, both in the pouring rain and in the bright sun.  You can trust her to arrange activities

Wat een fantastische plek is dit! Aan de oever van de Sara Piqui rivier. Vanaf je veranda kun je de dieren spotten.  De lodge zelf is ook uitstekend, ruim, schoon en mooi.  En als kers op de taart, de service van Marianela en familie. Vriendelijk, hulpvaardig en altijd bereikbaar. Het kajakken is super relaxed, zowel in de stromende regen als in de stralende zon.  Het regelen van activiteiten kun haar goed toe vertrouwen

The Casa Bambu was an unforgettable retreat. Marianela and her mother were exceptional hosts. They made us feel right at home and were very attentive. My husband and I will definitely be back! The lodge is very clean and everything worked properly. My husband and I came to Costa Rica for the first time to do some Machaca fishing and the river did not disappoint! 
If you get a chance to visit Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, please do yourself a favor and stay here! You will be glad you did! Beautiful place and very friendly people!!

We highly recommend staying at Marianela’s place. The accommodations and surroundings were beautiful. The cabina was very clean, very well decorated and appeared brand new. We had everything we needed for our stay which we wished was longer. The location has Marianela’s mother and others onsite that were extremely hospitable to us during our stay. I highly recommend kayaking the river that has spectacular views of iguanas, many birds and even monkeys. Marianela was extremely responsive to our questions and had excellent recommendations for our activities. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The house was extremely clean-all of the amenities that you would need to stay for a short day or an extended stay. I highly recommend this house.

Maison et environnement à couper le souffle, c’est sans hésiter le meilleur logement que nous avons eu au Costa Rica. Prestations de très grande qualité ! Le cadre est juste incroyable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la réactivé, la gentillesse et les informations transmises par l’hôte. Si je retourne au Costa Rica je réserverai à nouveau ici. This was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! We spent 7 nights on the coast before spending a night here on our way home. We were disappointed that we didn't plan more time here.  Tons of wildlife! Next time we are in Costa Rica we will definitely stay here!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Rio Sarapiqui Lodge! We stayed in the Casa Bambu and found the space absolutely beautiful. Everything was modern, clean, and comfortable. There's even very hot water in the bathroom which was a treat! We spent hours on the deck watching birds and enjoying the peaceful view.  The beautiful tall glass walls allowed for fantastic views outside, and at night the jungle glowed from very well placed lights. Marianela was very responsive and provided excellent recommendations for our comfort while staying there and her lovely mom helped guide us in when we were having difficulty navigating (our fault completely.) The lodging and host were fantastic and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Definitely one of the best AirBnB's I have stayed in!

This hidden gem will not stay hidden for long. it is amazing value! This is a family that puts their heart into hosting and gives the visitor an amazing experience. From a perfect, beautiful, clean and modern home, to the natural setting and river and garden views to the private and peaceful setting. Marionelas mom is so sweet and helpful. Marionela took me kayaking herself! al the recommendations were great. They know many local things to do and people to guide you. We always try to keep our itinerary flexible in CR and Marionelas house and Sarapiqui is a place you can do that. Sarapiqui is not as crowded as other tourist spots. it's beautiful.

After staying at many Airbnb's in many parts of the world, I can say this was one of, if not the best, experiences and homes I have ever stayed at. The casa is phenomenal both inside and outside. The jungle and river, beautiful huge trees, serene setting, and gorgeous decor and layout of the home itself are all perfect and work in harmony. And then there is Marianela, her husband and family. They are all so kind and helpful, going out of their way for you while giving you space. They took us into town with kayaks and we had a gentle paddle down the river for an hour by ourselves. When we got back to the property she was waiting there with fresh fruit for us. I have never been treated so well by any host, they are great people and you should not hesitate to spend some time here. We will be coming back!

Marianela is the quintessential host: proactive but respectful of a guest’s privacy, very responsive, generous and friendly. She connected us with local tours, left us fresh fruit, and even brought over marshmallows for my kids to toast one evening. I cannot say enough good things about this listing; I would give Marianela ten stars if I could!

Marianela's Cabins on Rio Sarapiqui are a very relaxing oasis.  The cabins are brand new and elegantly designed.  We loved all of the details of the cabin.  Marianela has thought of everything to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.  We weren't able to enjoy the river due to the amount of rain we received, but I can see that would be an unbelievable experience.  Even with the rain we saw toucans, hummingbirds and really enjoyed walking around the property.  It is very well landscaped and planned with little seating areas.  Marianela also has a scenic firepit where you could grill your own food if you choose.  Her Mom prepared a beautiful breakfast for a small additional fee that was very fresh and delicious.  We look forward to coming back to Rio Sarapiqui to visit and would love to stay with her again.

new and of a very good quality.   It is surrounded by huge trees and across from a large river.  Quiet place and perfect for enjoying nature.

Un lugar bellísimo! La Instalación es nueva y de muy buena calidad. Esta rodeada de arboles enormes y frente a un gran rio. Lugar tranquilo y perfecto para disfrutar la naturaleza.
