The Space
Casa and Casitas Linda Vista has been Playa Grande’s best-kept secret for over 26 years. Nestled on a private 3-acre hilltop estate, this secluded oasis overlooks the Pacific Ocean where the ocean meets the mountains in perfect harmony. The property blends tropical forest with pristine sandy beaches, offering a peaceful and private environment close to the beach and surfing spots.
The estate borders Las Baulas National Park and is just minutes on foot from Playa Grande’s main surf breaks. It’s an ideal location for those seeking tranquility, comfort, and easy access to various leisure activities. Guests can choose to cook in or enjoy dining at more than a dozen nearby restaurants.
Casa Linda Vista (Main House)
- Largest of three fully equipped houses on the property.
- Two-story home with 2 bedrooms.
- Accommodates 2 to 8 guests, suitable for families or groups.

The beach was fantastic. The house was great, but very windy inside because of all net instead of glas. Kai is very helpsam and is a great host!

Great house! We love the open and airy feeling. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing here. The property is secure and beach /town are an easy walk. I travel to CR several times a year and will definitely be back when in the area.

El lugar es hermoso, y Craig estuvo todo el tiempo presente. Sin embargo, de las duchas casi no salía agua, las sabanas y las toallas eran viejiisimas, lo mismo que lo salcochados de las camas. No tenia elementos de limpieza, y la escalera era peligrosa, ya que se rompió un escalón cuando uno de mis hijos estaba bajando. Era realmente peligrosa. Cuando le avisamos a Craig, se enojo con nosotros, nos dijo que tenia 30 a'os esa escalera y que jamas se habia roto. No nos pregunto si alguien se habia lastimado. Solo se enojo y al dia siguiente vino a arreglarla. Nos llamo mucho la atencion esa actitud. La casa es muy linda, el lugar tambien, pero necesita mantenimiento y la blanqueria(toallas y sabanas una buena actualizacion). Pedi un secador de pelo, y me diio que me seque el pelo con el viento, que no estaba dentro de las especificaciones de la casa. Luego, Craig pidió disculpas y no nos fuimos antes. Es una lastima, que no lo podamos recomendar , pero esa fue nuestra experiencia.

Great stay! Beautiful, spacious home, easily walkable to town and beaches, with easy parking if you drive. Kai is a perfect host! available quickly, helpful, proactive and unobtrusive. He went out of his way to help me deal with a flat tire. Laidback, friendly town. We were there in an unusually hot time and it was pretty uncomfortable during the waking hours, even with fans on. But was ok at night, definitely a great value, and probably more comfortable at cooler times of year.

My family of 5 had an amazing stay at Kai’s place in Playa Grande. This place has walkable beach access and is close to restaurants. The space had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Craig tok kontakt før vi kom og ga nyttig informasjon om innsjekking. Han var fleksibel og møtte oss når vi kom. Han tok kontakt underveis og fulgte opp om det var noe vi manglet. Craig var hyggelig, enkel å ha med å gjøre og rett og slett en perfekt vert!

Merci beaucoup à l’hôte Kai. L’intérieur est spacieux, le domaine est privé et très intime. On entend un singe hurleur le matin et plusieurs oiseaux. Le mois de janvier a été chaud mais pas humide et même s’il n’y avait pas d’air climatisé, le soir étant plus frais on dormait bien. Place à distance de marche avec un coucher de soleil à couper le souffle. Endroit idéal pour relaxer, faire du surf, quelques petits restaurants et cafés à proximité qui sont très intéressants. Ça prend un moyen de transport car un peu loin de Tamarindo, des activités. L’achalandage n’a rien à voir avec Tamarindo, Playa Grande est définitivement un endroit paisible. Nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour à cet endroit!

What an amazing place this was. The drive in to the property is magical. The house feels like a treehouse surrounded by nature and beautiful views. We walked to the beach every morning. Craig was a great host, helpful and kind. Highly recommend staying here.
