Garden Sauna & Cold Plunge
Starting January 2025, Maitri features a new garden area with:

- Cedar wood-fired barrel sauna
- Large cold plunge pool

Each villa’s kitchen is fully stocked with:
- Pots, pans, and cooking utensils
- Blender, coffee maker, toaster, rice maker, and mixer
- Filtered water system providing purified water for the entire villa

Guest Access
To ensure a smooth arrival, all entrances use digital access methods including PIN codes and waterproof NFC bracelets suitable for watersports. Detailed access instructions will be provided one week before your arrival.
Location
Maitri is situated in Central Tamarindo, close to the Tamarindo Night Market. It is approximately one hour from Liberia Airport (LIR) and four hours from San Jose Airport (SJO).
Concierge and Trip Planning Service
Upon confirming your reservation, you will be assigned a personal villa concierge tailored to your needs. Our full-service concierge team is included at no extra charge and offers:
- Assistance with restaurant reservations and premium seating
- Coordination of transportation, tours, bike rentals, golf cart and ATV rentals, and excursions
- Arrangements for private chefs, bartenders, massages, yoga, and fitness classes at the villa
- Special event planning including decorations, custom cakes, mariachi bands, or DJs

Additional Information
- Water shortages and power outages are common in Tamarindo. While the property does not have an electricity generator, it maintains 10,000 liters of water reserves.
- Insects are a natural part of the Costa Rican ecosystem. They may occasionally be found indoors, especially if food is left exposed. Please treat them with respect.
- The cleaning fee covers checkout cleaning only. Additional cleanings during your stay incur extra charges and must be requested in advance.
- For stays of seven days or longer, one additional cleaning is provided upon request. Daily cleaning can also be arranged.
- Pool cleaning occurs daily for approximately 20 minutes between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Guests may request to skip a day for privacy.
- The waterfall operates with the pool pump daily from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. It can be turned on outside these hours upon request.

We had an amazing stay at Maitri! The hosts were so responsive, helpful, and gave great recommendations! All the recommendations they provided were excellent. The house was exactly like the pictures and beautiful. We cannot stop talking about our trip!

Our group enjoyed this Airbnb so much! There was 10 of us and we stayed in 3 of the villas that were right next to each other. We felt very secure during our stay. Love how private it was but it was still walkable to the restaurants and stores. The concierge, Seven, was very reponsive and also helped us with booking transportation for a few of our excursions. The pool for each villa were small but we still enjoyed it!

Words can’t describe Katerina’s place. The place looked exactly like the photos. It was our family vacation with 8 adult kids and their significant others and a few friends. What I really loved is that we were all together but not on top of each other. The villas were spread out with a nice amount of distance in between. Beautiful place and we would definitely choose this place again when we come back!! Thank you for allowing us to stay.

My group and I booked 3 villas on the property and had the most amazing time! The villas felt so luxurious and clean and the access to the Langosta Beach club was a major plus! If we ever had a question or needed help with something, Katerina responded quickly and was so helpful. I recommend renting a golf cart or something in advance (as they are hard to get on the spot) due to the hill the houses sit on. Was still very walkable, we walked most of the time but the golf cart was a game changer!

Maitri is truly a wonder. Katerina has been the best host I have had on Airbnb since my journey with them started in 2015. I have rated every host a 5 star, but this 5 star for Katerina seems inferior to who she was as a host for me and my guests for my birthday celebration. Katerina worked graciously and patiently with me from setting up transportation to and from the airport, to guiding me accurately around the city for different events and adventures. Her vast knowledge of tamarindo and network system makes it easy to navigate and enjoy the most exclusive and top tier findings that only a local would know. The beach club access to langosta beach club added a special touch of exclusivity as well. The villas are beyond words, so much so that one probably needs a drone to capture the beauty and essence of this pristine property. I could go on and on, however I will keep it simple. You have stumbled upon a gem. Book it.

This was one of my best birthday trips this year and I was happy the villa made it come true! The host was lovely and easy to get in contact with. Most things are walkable from the villa if you're used to walking a while. Thursdays are tamarindo night market nights which is a 3 min walk from the villa which i enjoyed so much. Will book again!!

I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s over the years and this is definitely the best I’ve ever experienced. They were extremely pro-active in giving us suggestions and tips before we arrived. One person in our group had airline issues getting to Tamarindo and the Airbnb concierge helped us find a local flight to ensure that person was able to get to Tamarindo the same day. They also helped us find golf cart rentals to get around the city, airport shuttles, and activity bookings. They were extremely helpful and the Airbnb setup was amazing. It was kept in pristine condition. I HIGHLY recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. They will add to your experience in the country!
